The StarLadder iLeague Invitational culminated into an engaging ending when ViCi Gaming Reborn managed to edge out Natus Vincere, 3:1, winning their first championship title together as a team.
Coming into the event through the regional qualifiers, VG.Reborn were sent to the Lower Brackets by Na’Vi, in the semifinals. They rose up through the Lower Brackets to face Na’Vi once again in the Grand Finals. This time around, they were able to overtake the Ukrainian team after four incredibly intense matches.
ViCi Gaming Reborn were not the only ones displaying impressive performances. The StarLadder iLeague Invitational LAN brimmed with exhilarating action, from start to finish.
StarLadder iLeague Invitational VoDs: LGD vs. Vega Squadron (Quarterfinals)
The first day of the StarLadder iLeague Invitational LAN kicked off with the series between LGD and Vega Squadron.
Vega Squadron showed some spark, but LGD Gaming came out on top, looking incredibly cohesive and disciplined. This was Xue “September” Zhichuan’s first major LAN, and he proved to be instrumental for LGD. The Chinese rookie took the challenge head on, without any hesitation, and ended up having a significant impact in the series.
In the end, LGD advanced in the Upper Brackets, as they took a convincing 2:0 sweep over the CIS team.

StarLadder iLeague Invitational VoDs: Virtus.Pro vs. Alliance (Quarterfinals)
Virtus.Pro vs. Alliance summary
The series between Virtus.Pro and Alliance got off to an incredibly strong start for the Swedish team.
Virtus.Pro’s shaky first game was compensated by their ability to adapt and then diligently draw out the second game into a close ending.
In the end, Alliance managed to overwhelm Virtus.Pro, 2:0.

StarLadder iLeague Invitational VoDs: VG.Reborn vs. MVP.Phoenix (Quarterfinals)
VG.Reborn vs. MVP.Phoenix summary
The series between the newly reformed and rebranded ViCi Gaming Reborn and the Korean rising stars – MPV.Phoenix – was one of the most anticipated match-ups of the opening day.
The Chinese team displayed considerable teamwork and stellar individual plays that were more than enough to throw off MVP’s synergy and upset them, 2:0, even on their comfortable heroes.

In front of their home crowd, Na’Vi unleashed their fury and bowled over OG, 2:1. Clear game strategies, smooth execution and coordinated team play were Na’Vi’s biggest strengths.

Vega Squadron vs. Virtus.Pro summary
The CIS showdown between Vega Squadron and Virtus.Pro turned out to be a a three-game series filled with exciting twists. In the end, Virtus.Pro managed to knock out Vega Squadron with a convincing 2:1 victory.

StarLadder iLeague Invitational VoDs: MVP.Phoenix vs. OG (Lower Brackets, Round 1)
OG bounced back aggressively, shattering MVP.Phoenix’s hopes and run atthe StarLadder Dota 2 Invitational LAN with a 2:0 victory. The Koreans were unable to find their niche in Kiev, ending their run at the event without a single win.

StarLadder iLeague Invitational VoDs: LGD vs. Alliance (Semifinals)
LGD displayed amazing flexibility and capacity to think on their feet and switch gears mid-game. Alliance showed tremendous resiliency, but LGD came out on top in the end, clinching the series with a 2:1 final score.

StarLadder iLeague Invitational VoDs: Na’Vi vs. VG.Reborn (Semifinals)
Na’Vi crushed ViCi Gaming Reborn, 2:0, in the StarLadder iLeague Invitational semifinals. Guaranteed a top 3 finish, they delighted fans with their stand out performances. Their synergy was spot on, and Danil “Dendi” Ishutin continued to be a prominent force for the Ukrainian team.

StarLadder iLeague Invitational VoDs: VG.Reborn vs. Virtus.Pro (Lower Brackets, Round 2)
VG.Reborn vs. Virtus.Pro summary
ViCi Gaming Reborn showed up on the third day ready to play. They were able to keep themselves one step ahead of Virtus.Pro in their drafting and execution. After securing the second match in a convincing manner, the Chinese stars were able to hone in on their momentum and rally behind a third game victory.
Virtus.Pro’s run ended with a 5th-6th place finish.

StarLadder iLeague Invitational VoDs: Alliance vs. OG (Lower Brackets, Round 2)
OG put an end to Alliance’s stint during the StarLadder Dota Invitational playoffs with a 2:1 victory.

StarLadder iLeague Invitational VoDs: VG.Reborn vs. OG (Lower Brackets, Round 3)
After both teams already won one series each earlier in the day, OG and VG.Reborn faced off for one more chance to continue their journey in the StarLadder Dota 2 Invitational playoffs. Ultimately, ViCi Gaming Reborn were the ones to excel under the pressure and outplay the European squad, 2:1.

StarLadder iLeague Invitational VoDs: LGD vs. Na’Vi (Upper Bracket Finals)
The upper bracket finals rounded out a long and eventful third day at the SL iLeague Dota 2 Invitational.
Under the chants of the home crowd, Na’Vi proved how far they have come in the last few weeks as a squad.
Outdrafting, outplaying and completely dominating LGD, Na’Vi progressed to the Grand Finals and dropped the Chinese team to the lower bracket finals to face ViCi Gaming Reborn.

The qualifier team – ViCi Gaming Reborn – outdrafted and outplayed their opponents. VG.Reborn forced LGD Gaming to play reactively and pushed them out of their comfort zone. VG.Reborn managed to clinch the 2:1 victory in a convincing manner.

StarLadder iLeague Invitational VoDs: Na’Vi vs. VG.Reborn (Grand Finals)
A spectacular first game yielded the most incredible clutch game-changing ending, allowing Na’Vi to seize the opening match on home turf. Na’Vi set the series on fire in a once in a lifetime opener, but ViCi Gaming Reborn would be the team to keep fanning the flames the rest of the series.
Na’Vi hadn’t won a championship title in approximately 18 months. ViCi Gaming Reborn entered the event through the regional qualifiers. Both teams proved worthy of the title, but ViCi Gaming Reborn came out on top, 3:1, and were crowned the StarLadder iLeague Invitational champions.
