Virtus.Pro claim another championship title after an epic comeback to triumph over Team Empire, 3:2, in the Esportal Dota 2 League grand finals. VP will walk away with $32,000, while runners-up, Team Empire, will take home $16,000. .

After leading the best-of-five series with a 2:0 score, it seemed certain that Team Empire was going to sweep Virtus.Pro and claim the victory. However, Virtus.Pro had other plans and in a surprising turn of events they convincingly grabbed the following three games, thus taking a second victory over the Empire in just over one week.
With a series as incredibly entertaining and gripping as this, the emotions and fervor leading to The International 5 have become heightened as the rivalry intensifies. Both teams seem to be promising spectacular performances for the most prestigious event of the year and have elevated the potential for CIS teams to be main contenders in the tournament.

Virtus.Pro recent success
Virtus.Pro win ASUS Play It Cool
After taking first place at the ASUS Play it Cool invitational, the team had a sub-par performance at the MLG Pro League Finals, at X-Games, but then claimed the championship title in the DreamLeague Season 3 LAN finals.
The team swept through all of their opponents in the seeding phase for ESL One Frankfurt and secured the first place, thus taking the first choice in selecting an opponent for the first round of the main event. Virtus.Pro was later defeated by Evil Geniuses in the semifinals of the ESL One Frankfurt main event.
On June 24th, Virtus.Pro swept through Team Empire in the Egaming Bets show match.
