The Manila Major SEA Qualifiers standings are in after a long and eventful day has concluded for the day 2 group stage. The four regional teams that will advance have emerged.
Mineski, Taring, TnC ProGaming and Execration have all progressed to the playoff stage of the event.
It was not surprising to many fans was to see Mineski and TnC taking top positions in their groups with recent strong performances and results.
The second place position in Group A became a tight race with the last series of the day becoming the deciding fate between Execration and Signature.Trust. In the end the Mongolian team – The Mongolz upset the Thai team – Signature.Trust as they swept through them 2:0 and secured the playoff position for Execration.
Both Mineski and TnC Pro Gaming were sitting at the top of their groups, each having suffered only one loss.
Most recently Mineski was able to best their regional rivals, TnC Gaming, 3:1, in the best-of-five grand finals, seizing the place in the main event of ESL One Manila for the Philippines. These two regional rivals may be meeting again in the playoffs, competing for the one spot to advance to Manila Major.
TnC Pro Gaming were forced into the open qualifiers when they brought on board Carlo “Kuku” Palad after the rosters became locked for the new season. Kuku was last playing for Mineski and was recruited on April 13th to fill in the shoes of Gio “WinterGSmallSon” de Ocampo who is now inactive due to health reasons.
Taring started to receive financial support, sponsorship, management team, training and facilities as part of becoming the representatives of Malaysia in Dota 2 when they triumphed over 63 other Malaysian teams competing for the opportunity and honor to assume the identity of Team Taring on December 13th at the Malaysia Cyber Games 2015.
Execration, abbreviated XctN, is a Filipino Dota 2 team that has been rising through the ranks and participating in multiple regional events and qualifiers with some success.
The matches resume on May 5th, at 05:00 CET, and are expected to be intense as the teams continue their quest towards the second stage of the qualifiers – the double elimination brackets.

TnC Pro Gaming continued to sit at the top of their group as they also took a 7 point result. Their only loss came at the hands of Signature Trust yesterday.
The second place position became an area of much excitement as the playoff team decision was hinging on the results. As The Mongolz took one game off of Signature.Trust, it put the third place team within in the reach of tying for second to force a tiebreaker. The Mongolian team then took the second game as well from the Thai team, essentially eliminating them from the event. At minute 33 The Mongolz took control of the game and charged through to the end for victory. This was the team’s first full series win.
If I'm not wrong. Mongolz's win over trust means trust is out, letting execration through. 3 Filipino team in the qualifier playoff.
