WePlay League replaces MamasBoys with Samurai Champloo in the European qualifiers. MamasBoys had withdrawn from the event to sort out some roster issues earlier in the week. Champloo will take their position including win/loss statistics for the remainder of the season. Their first match is set for tonight at 21:15 CET against Wombat Gaming.

On February 3rd, MamasBoys revealed that the squad had parted ways with veteran offlaner Alaan “SexyBamboe” Faraj.
While it was originally expected that the squad would continue to compete in their scheduled events, it was later announced they had withdrawn from WePlay League Season 3 European qualifiers. Their matches against Team Liquid were forfeited on that same night.
New and upcoming team, Samurai Champloo, had been identified as the replacement for MamasBoys. The squad will assume MamasBoys win/loss ratio 3:3 and continue to play the remaining eight matches. The first match will take place tonight at 21:15 CET against Wombat Gaming.
WePlay League Season 3 features a $200,000 prize pool and four regional qualifiers. The main event is set to take place in Kiev, Ukraine May 6-8th. Four qualified teams will compete alongside the four invited teams.
WePlay League Season 3
On January 1th, it was announced that WePlay League returned to Dota 2 after a two year hiatus.
This time, the event boasted a $200,000 prize pool, four sets and a LAN in Kiev. Four regional qualifiers will be held to give four teams an opportunity to join the four invited teams in the Ukraine for the playoffs May 6-8th.
One team from each region will advance to compete in the LAN playoffs set to be held in Kiev, Ukraine May 6-8th for the $200,000 prize pool.
The four invited teams -EG, OG, Virtus.Pro and Team Secret- are unconfirmed yet.
Season 2 was held in 2013 with Na’Vi being crowned the champions after besting Alliance 3:2. The CIS team walked away with the $25,000 first place prize.

WePlay League Season 3 prize pool distribution:
The prize pool can be increased by cosmetic set and ticket sales. The share is 10% of total sales; the share of ticket sales is 20% of total.
***Teams, including manager, will also receive:
- a paid flight and other travel expenses
- a hotel ranked at least 4stars
- meals 3 times/day
- a practice area with 5 PCs per team
- a private players lounge

WePlay League Season 3 broadcast
The event coverage will be provided by in at least three different languages.
WePlay.TV in Russian, joinDOTA in English, MarsTV in Chinese and partners of WePlay.TV. Partners may be casting in various other languages.
Samurai Champloo
Samurai Champloo was formed in early January for the upcoming Shanghai Major by Ylli “Garter” Ramadani and Mohammed “Attacker” Almheiri.
The team first made their splash in the region when they advanced to round 32 for both of the Shanghai Open Regional Qualifiers. Having defeated teams such as AD FINEM and STEAK Gaming, they started to gain some attention.
They quickly then qualified for the ProDota Cup EU 2, eventually taking fourth place in the event.
They advanced to round 16 in the ESL One Manila Open Qualifiers
The team is currently participating in JoinDota League Division 2 and have been invited to participate in Rumble Town online closed qualifiers and the upcoming Game On tournament.
