We take a look at the TI6 Open Qualifiers results after the first day of action in the brutal best-of-one brackets. Thirty-two teams are left standing in three of the regions – Americas, Europe and Southeast Asia. Remaining teams will continue today for the chance to compete in the main Regional Qualifiers.
UPDATE (August 13th):
TI6 final standings, updates and highlights – HERE
The European region seems to be the only one that suffered multiple losses of notable teams during the first day of the TI6 Open Qualifiers. For Elements Pro Gaming, YeS and Fantastic 5, the journey ended early.
TnC Gaming were also unable to advance past the first day, in SEA, after losing to RRQ in the Round of 64.
The silver lining is that all those teams will have a second chance to compete in the TI6 Open Qualifiers, starting tomorrow, on June 23rd.
Other notable teams from the three regions, such as Team Secret, EG, Kaipi, Shazam, Team Spirit, Polarity, Danish Bears, ProDota Gaming, Team Toast, ATN, Elements One, Sqreen’s Squad, Enemy Gaming, EverNova, Luccini, Veggies, inFamous, Not Today, RexRegum, Mineski-X, Extremist, Gse7en, White Fries, MVP.Hot6ix, Beyond Infinity and iDeal will continue today, in the last day of the first set of TI6 Open Qualifiers.
All teams are hedging on obtaining the best TI6 Open Qualifiers results tonight. Only one team in each region will have the opportunity to compete in the main Regional Qualifiers scheduled to take place over this weekend, starting June 25th.
The progression of the teams can be monitored in the SEA brackets, EU brackets and NA brackets during the course of the event.
Games are best-of-one, with semifinals (Round of 4) and finals being best-of-three series.
