UPDATE (August 13th):
TI6 final standings, updates and highlights – HERE
DC got off to a good start and managed to come back from a one-game deficit to knock Filipino sensation TnC out of The International 6. No doubt, a very painful loss for TnC. However, they have more than outdone expectations at their first TI appearance, and they leave the competition with their heads held high. The Filipinos have taken a commendable 7th-8th place overall and will walk away with over $500,000.
In a post-game interview with Kaci Aitchison, DC.Moo attributed TnC’s fall to their “limited hero pool”, stating that they were, however, one of the most spectacular teams in the tournament.
Fnatic convincingly took down Team Liquid, 2:0, after a roller-coaster series and a beautifully orchestrated comeback from a 20k deficit, in the second game. This is the third Valve event in a row that the Malaysians make it to Top 6. They will face one of their SEA nemesis, MVP.Phoenix, tomorrow, August 12th, at 10:30 PDT.
Team Liquid ended their run at The International 6 with a commendable 7th-8th place and over $500,000. The European region has no teams left in the competition.

Another great display of strength from DC, as the North-American team managed to outdraft and outplay Chinese Juggernauts EHOME in two very one-sided games. DC have reached Top 4 and have secured a pay-check of at least $1.4 million.
EHOME have placed 5th-6th overall and will walk away with over $900,000.
“When people expect less from you, you perform better. We formed this team for top 8. Everyone wants to win, of course, but you have to be realistic,” DC.w33 told Kaci Aitchison, after the victory.
The International 6 All-Star Match brought the fourth day of the Main Event to a fitting end. Team Kaci (AdmiralBulldog, iceiceice, UniVeRsE, Fear, QO, and five Dota 2 fans) and Team Slacks (n0tail, Loda, Dendi, Arteezy, Maybe, and five Dota 2 fans) were pitted against each other in a 10 vs. 10 spectacle. In the end, Bulldog carried Team Kaci to victory.
To make matters even more interesting, the much anticipated PitLord (Underlord) hero was finally revealed and n0tail had the opportunity to learn its ropes during the TI6 All-Star Match. The hero will be officially released on August 23rd, together with a new Post-Game Stats UI.
We have three best-of-three series to look forward to in the fifth day of the TI6 Main Event, on August 12th.
First, at 10:30 PDT (19:30 CEST), MVP.Phoenix vs. Fnatic, then the Upper Bracket finals between Wings Gaming and Evil Geniuses, at 13:30 PDT (22:30 CEST). Then, at 16:30 PDT (01:30 CEST), DC will go up against either MVP or Fnatic. Two more teams will be eliminated by the end of the day, and we will be left with our International 6 Top 3.
Valve’s The International has a long history of setting and breaking esports records – and this year’s event has already proven to be no different. The total prize pool has passed the $20 million mark, thus becoming the largest in esports history. Also, close to $9 million are set aside for the winning team, so the competition is at an all-time high.
