Team Spirit has been reborn with a new roster. Artsiom “fng” Barshack, Bogdan “Iceberg” Vasilenko, Alexander “DkPhobos” Kucheria, Stanislav “633/BzzIsPerfect” Glushan and Ivan “VANSKOR” Skorokhod have joined forces to bring the CIS team back to life.
Team Spirit has announced their return to Dota 2 with a new roster.
The CIS organization has taken on some of the most known names in the region to complete their lineup – Artsiom “fng” Barshack, Bogdan “Iceberg” Vasilenko, Alexander “DkPhobos” Kucheria, Stanislav “633/BzzIsPerfect” Glushan and Ivan “VANSKOR” Skorokhod.
On August 1st, following a period of instability, the organization dissolved the Dota 2 roster with hopes to be revived for the Fall Major season. Hitting the mark late, the organization has secured their roster for the Spring season now – looking strong and promising.
Seasoned veteran player DkPhobos will assume the captain role for the team and seems very confident about the team’s ability to pull together with the same goal and philosophy.
I am pleased to report that we were able to assemble a team where everyone is interested in the overall result, which will not be the so-called “camps” and wanting to pull the blanket over himself. Our goal – to become a strong team, capable of showing the result in the long run (…) I am confident that this structure we will be able to show a game worthy of this Dragon!
Team Spirit 2015-2016
Early November, the team formerly known as CIS Rejects, announced their new roster to include Roman “Ramzes” Kushnarev, Artur “Goblak” Kostenko and Vasily “AfterLife” Shishkin as the newest additions to the lineup, after trying out various members.
On December 6th, they were picked up by the organization Team Spirit.
The team took third place in the Dota 2 Champions League Christmas Charity Magic and the championship title for the ProDotA Cup Europe.
Team Spirit then added to their list of achievements their qualification to travel to China for the Mars Dota 2 League (MDL), at the end of January 2016. At the event they took 9-10th place. They failed to qualify for ESL One Manila or Dota Pit Season 4.
Team Spirit removed Roman “Ramzes” Kushnarev and Vasily “AfterLife” Shishkin from their roster following their run at the Shanghai Major. The team qualified for the Shanghai Major but placed 13-16th after being eliminated by compLexity Gaming in the lower brackets round 1.
The following months were a revolving door of roster changes.
Gleb “Funn1k” Lipatnikov then joined Ilya “Illidan” Pivcaev in Team Spirit, rounding out their new roster. Illidan was announced to be trying out for the team on March 9th.
In May Illidan and ALWAYSWANNAFLY left and were replaced by Alexander “XBOCT” Dashkevich and Andrey “Ghostik” Kadyk and in June Iceberg separated from the team to join team Polarity.
During that time, the team had little to no achievements to brag about and the organization dissolved the roster in August.
