Shanghai Major rosters: Artyk Gaming
Artyk Gaming is not a new team, it is a Peruvian organization founded in 2012 that has previously sponsored the Peruvian lineup that was picked up by Denial Esports. However, the roster has not been active and its registration into the Shanghai Major rosters lock will signify the organization’s re-entry into the scene.
Alexis “Greedy” Ventura announced his departure from Unknown and has joined the team along with his ex-teammate Ztok and former Elite Wolves members Steven “StingeR” Vargas and Juan Carlos “vanN” Tito.
Shanghai Major rosters: Elements Pro Gaming
Elements Pro Gaming is a new Russian eSports Club that includes a Dota 2 team featuring Maxim “yoky” Kim and Ilya “Illidan” Pivcaev. The club is being spearheaded by Russian Grand Chess Master and Dota 2 aficionado Ian “FrostNova” Nepomniachtchi. It also includes Victor “GeneRaL” Nigrini, Khaled “sQreen” El Habbash and Rinat “KingR” Abdullin.
Shanghai Major rosters: Steak Gaming
Troels “syndereN” Nielsen has decided to transition from caster/analyst back to a professional competitive career in his new team called Steak Gaming. He will be playing alongside former NiP players Adrian “Era” Kryeziu and Elias “Sealkid” Merta. North American professional player Ioannis “Fogged” Loucas and Trent “sLicKz” Tucker from Australia will round up the team.
Shanghai Major rosters: Shazam~
Shazam~ is a “new” team formed consisting of the entire most recent Cloud 9 roster, minus captain Theeban “1437” Siva, who has joined Digital Chaos. The team dissolved after 1437’s departure and Cloud 9 dismissed Ravindu “Ritsu” Kodippili from the roster and organization. The discharge came as a consequence of recent unprofessional behavior and involvement in unsportsmanlike conduct.
The entire roster has reformed with Mason “mason” Venne replacing 1437.
Shanghai Major rosters: Vegetables Esports Club
Vegetables Esports Club has been established as a fun team for the Shanghai Major Open Qualifiers. It consists of Ben “Merlini” Wu, Austin “Capitalist” Walsh, Jacob “Maelk” Toft-Andersen, Kevin “Purge” Godec and Monib “Monib” Baray.
Shanghai Major rosters: Recovery Position
Recovery Position will be the return of an all-French team featuring Thibault “Funzii” Calonne and Titouan “PARIS” Merloz
Shanghai Major rosters: Unregistered, but confirmed
Not all the confirmed teams were able to complete their Shanghai Major registration. These teams will need to register and compete in the Open Qualifiers for their chance to attend the Shanghai Major.

Giorgos “SsaSpartan” Giannakopoulos has once again formed an all-Greek squad. The squad is a merger of Greek players from NLG and Golden Boys, and Dimitris “ThuG” Plivouris.
NO-VASELINE
NO-VASELINE is a new team consisting of Dominik “Black^” Reitmeier, Jonas “jonassomfan” Lindholm, Johan “Mynuts” Andersson, Yazied “YapzOr” Jaradat and Rene “Kebap” Warner. The team was created with members of various other teams that had disbanded during the fall season or had roster changes for the upcoming Shanghai Major.
The European squad was unable to fully register, as Rene “Kebap” Warner had originally accepted an invite to a team featuring Jimmy “DeMoN” Ho. The system does not allow for players to leave or be kicked once they accept an invitation to another team. Players are unable to register for more than one team.
