Na’Vi roster has officially been announced – solidifying that Viktor “GeneRaL” Nigrini has formally filled the role of offlaner for the squad.
On January 27th, it was reported that the Ukrainian player would undergo a trial period of several weeks in an attempt to resolve some stability and performance issues.
Na’Vi has had a tumultuous year with significant and frequent roster changes, producing subpar results. A team that was once the archetype of success has fallen into disarray during the last year. Going into 2016, the team has high hopes to rekindle that “Born to Win” rally cry and once again achieve greatness.
GeneRaL has gained his experience and his reputation over the last year, when he started playing for Duza Gaming in 2015. He had stints in Team Empire and ScaryFaceZzz as well as Elements Pro Gaming. Although he has been predominantly a midlane player, he has begun the shift to fill the shoes of the offlane position for Na’Vi.
I am happy that we finally can stop looking for an optimal roster and focus on achieving our long-term goals. Now, we can plan effective practice and step by step, with the help of bootcamps and tournaments, develop our skills, work on our plays and improve the level of team communication. You must agree that it’s hard to show your true potential when you don’t know who’ll be playing beside you tomorrow. I guess, this state of uncertainty was worse than a series of losses and misfortunes. I am sure that not only players, but also all others were tired of it.
Nowadays, we have a favorable working environment. We perfectly understand what to work on and what to develop. Soon the players will gather together for their first bootcamp as a team, then travel to their first LAN, and hopefully, will be able to show their best. During these last 3 weeks, this lineup has demonstrated that its potential is huge and now it is capable of outplaying each and every opponent. Today we have practically everything to achieve the highest goals; it’s just a matter of time and effort.

The team secured the trip to the LAN of Dota Pit League season 4 scheduled in Split, Croatia at the Spaladium Arena March 19 and 20th. They have also demonstrated good performance online since their renewed roster.
Na’Vi roster changes 2015
Na’Vi has had a difficult year in 2015, with many significant changes. On October 16, the organization announced the dissolution of their Dota 2 team after less than adequate performances as of late. The dissolution of the team signified the end of an era between the organization and Danil “Dendi” Ishutin and Alexander “XBOCT” Dashkevich, an unprecedented professional relationship in the Dota 2 scene, that lasted for five years.
Four days later, it was revealed that Danil “Dendi” Ishutin and Akbar “SoNNeikO” Butaev would remain with the organization. The new Na’Vi team has been built around Dendi and Sonneiko, who recruited the other players themselves.
On December 8th, the new roster was revealed to include Dmitry “Ax.Mo” Morozov and the return of Ivan “Artstyle” Antonov.
Na’Vi was invited to the Shanghai Regional Qualifiers. The team failed to make it out of the group stage, taking third position in the group with two wins, one draw and one loss in their matches.
January 17th Ax.Mo parted ways with the team after a disappointing 9th place finish at StarLadder iLeague StarSeries. The separation occurred amidst rumors of leaking scrims and open displays of conflict .
