Invictus Gaming
The significant roster changes since TI5 did not help further Invictus Gaming. They were not directly invited to the Shanghai Major and were forced to participate in the Regional Chinese qualifiers. Falling short there, with a 5-6th place finish, they missed the second Valve sponsored Major of the year.
For the Spring Season Luo “Ferrari_430” Feichi was the only member to remain on the main Invictus Gaming roster.
Joining him were four of the former iG Vitality players – Zhao “qd” Shungeng, Ye “BoBoKa” Zhibiao, Lin “Xxs” Jing and Chen “Rong” Jingwu.

Newbee
Team Newbee erupted onto the Dota 2 scene in 2014, having emerged from nowhere to claim the most sought after glory of being crowned the Champions of The International. The Chinese “Dream Team 2″ shocked the world with their victory and then disappeared from the scene.
After placing 13th at TI5, Chen “Hao” Zhihao returned to the team, while Wang “Rabbit” Zhang and Lin “June” Shiyang departed.
Wong “ChuaN” Hock transferred to Newbee in time for the Shanghai Major.
The team then had an equally lackluster performance for the Frankfurt Major, taking 15th place and forfeited their spot in WCA 2015 as the event was underway.
This was the second time in less than a month that Newbee forfeit their attendance at an event. The first was at Game Show Global eSports Cup on November 27th, at the last minute. Their late withdrawal then also caused a decrease in participating teams for the event, having left no time for organizers to secure a replacement.
For the Spring season Meng “Xiao2lei” Lei and Zhang “le” Xuanhao moved to Newbee.Young, and Damien “kphoenii” Chok and Hu “Kaka” Liangzhi joined the team. Kaka had last played for EHOME and kphoenii is an Australian player who played for MVP.Phoenix and EHOME.King.

Newbee.Young
Newbee was put together in early 2014, during the Chinese reshuffle that happened prior to The International 4. It was originally nicknamed “Dream Team 2” until February 2014, when the season transfer window was closed and the team was officially named Newbee. Newbee went on to win The International 4 in Seattle. In October 2014, Newbee Young – the organization’s youth squad, was established and placed seventh at the National Electronic Sports Tournament 2014, only two weeks later.
With only two of the members who participated in the TI5 Chinese qualifiers, the team is mostly reformed and looking to make a name.
A stroke of luck came the young team’s way. As Invictus Gaming, qualified for the Frankfurt Major through the Chinese Qualifier, the organization has extended the invitation to replace them to the team that was next in line – Newbee Young. The team had come in third place, following Invictus Gaming and Newbee.
Newbee.Young came in last place at the event unfortunately but took eighth place at the Dota 2 Radiant and Dire Cup and third at the Shanghai Dota 2 Open.
With the great Chinese roster reshuffle in March, Meng “Xiao2lei” Lei and Zhang “le” Xuanhao moved to Newbee.Young from the main squad and recruited Fan “FaN” Yixuan from ViCi Gaming Potential.

EHOME received a direct invite at the end of January, after they took third at the Nanyang Championships LAN, fourth at the Frankfurt Major, received a direct invite to the Shanghai Major and took the championship title for Dota 2 Radiant & Dire Cup.
