Dat Quoc “Biryu” Ha has been released from Digital Chaos’ active roster, due to unthriving in-game chemistry. Biryu will remain with the organization, filling the team’s substitute position and also taking on Jared “pandaego” Fletcher’s responsibilities as a coach. Digital Chaos are looking for a fifth player to round out their roster.
According to DC’s announcement, Digital Chaos’ run this season has not met the organization’s expectations and the roster changes will be effective immediately:
Despite the organization and team being extremely young, a certain expectation level was set early on. Unfortunately, we have not quite reached those levels yet and as a result, some changes have been made with immediate effect.
Firstly, the organization and team have decided to let go of our current coach Jared “pandaego” Fletcher. We leave on good terms and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors. Replacing him for the coaching position will be our original 5th player, Dat Quoc “Biryu” Ha.
Biryu was brought in as a very unique support player, but unfortunately the in-game chemistry never really flourished. He has shown great promise when preparing for games and studying opponents, so we expect him to excel in his new role as coach and sub.
DC’s captain Kurtis “Aui_2000” Ling has expressed his faith that Dat Quoc “Biryu” Ha will continue to play an important part in the organization by fulfilling his new responsibilities as the team’s coach and substitute player:
I had a lot of fun playing with Biryu and have also learned a lot along the way. He’s a great guy and has a ton of potential. Unfortunately, we felt that a change was necessary in order to move the team forward. Biryu will no longer be playing on our starting roster, but will be moved to a coach and sub slot where I hope to continue to learn from and with him.

Digital Chaos is Dat “Biryu” Quoc Ha’s first sponsored team. The Vietnamese player was previously a part of team “5 Pencils 1 Case Gaming”.
Digital Chaos needs to finalize their lineup until the roster lock deadline for the Shanghai Major, on December 8th. The team has recently qualified for The Summit 4 after sweeping through ROOT Gaming, 3:0, in the Grand Finals of the North American Qualifiers. They will compete against Evil Geniuses, Team Liquid, OG, Mineski, ViCi Gaming, and EHOME in The Summit 4 Los Angeles LAN, between December 9-13.
Digital Chaos was founded by the co-owner of DotaCinema, Shannon “SUNSfan” Scotten, in late August, after The International 5.
