TnC Pro took the challenge of the lower bracket elimination series head on in the SEA Kiev Major qualifiers and triumphed in the end.
The Filipino’s didn’t have as easy of a jaunt through the playoffs as they would have hoped – but nevertheless they prevailed.
After taking the second slot in the group stage with a 7:2 record, they faced off against Team Faceless, falling behind the count 2:1. Dropping to the lower bracket elimination series, their fate and future was on the line. The team faced off against the dark horse – Clutch Gamers and this time came out ahead 2:1. Moving along, they proceeded to the lower bracket finals to lock horns with Mineski Gaming.
TnC Pro snatched the first game of the series – as Mineski was unable to keep things close and turn it around. However, Mineski did strike back in the second match, constantly taking back their leads and pushing foward at all costs. After one hour, the final series was tied up.
On the back of flawless game on Weaver by Marc Polo “Raven” Luis Fausto in the third game TnC closed in on a tidy, 29 minute victory.
Their win secured them a place among the best at the Kiev Major.
TnC Pro SEA Kiev Major qualifiers winners
Last year TNC stormed through The International 6 open qualifiers all the way up to Top 8 in thrilling fashion. Despite the indisputable achievement, the team still fell victim to roster changes during the post-TI shuffle.
Sam “Sam_H” Enojosa Hidalgo and Carlo “Kuku” Palad were the only two members left standing, back in September.
The team struggled to find their place and achievements and looked towards continued roster changes to make improvements.
On November 21st, TNC parted ways with two of their players, Mark “Cast” Pilar and Linuel “Teehee” Abanto.
One day after being released from Fnatic’s roster, Marc Polo “Raven” Luis Fausto rejoined TNC Gaming on November 29th leaving only one vacancy left on the team – it was filled in mid December with Timothy “Tims” Randrup.
The roster was completed one day prior to the start of WESG – a tournament that the Filipino team seized the championship title in.
Their last big LAN event was SL iLeague S3 in which they took a commendable 3-4th place finish.
TnC current roster:
Marc Polo “Raven” Luis Fausto
