After besting Team Empire, 3:1, OG are the second European team to qualify for The Summit 4 taking place in Los Angeles, California, between December 9-13, with a base prize pool of $100,000. OG joins Evil Geniuses, EHOME, Digital Chaos, ViCi Gaming, Team Liquid and Mineski as the last team to qualify. The Redemption Vote spot is the only remaining option for teams to participate.

The Summit 4 qualifiers have wrapped up and OG are the last team to qualify for the event. With one direct invite (Evil Geniuses) and six qualified teams, the only remaining spot is for the winner of the Redemption Vote.
OG had swept through newteam123 and Na’Vi, 2:0, before falling to Team Empire, 2:1, and dropping to the Lower Brackets. They then bested Virtus.Pro and NiP, 2:1, to continue their advancement to the Lower Bracket finals, where they faced Team Empire once again and were able to come out victorious in the end, 3:1.
For the second time this week, Team Empire was defeated, 1:3, in the best-of-five series to attend The Summit 4. The CIS team fell to Team Liquid in the Grand Finals before dropping to the Lower Bracket finals to face OG.
Team Empire had originally swept through STARK and then upset Team Secret, 2:1, and bested OG, 2:1, before they faced Team Liquid and dropped to the Lower Bracket finals to meet OG once again.

The main event scheduled for December 9-13 will line up a total of eight teams competing for a prize pool starting at $100,000. In addition to the qualified teams from each of the four regions, there will be one directly invited team and one team that will be voted in by the community in the Redemption Vote segment.

For each season of the The Summit, the top favorite teams break free from traditional constraints and start campaigning for compendium owners’ Redemption Vote for the final spot in The Summit LAN event.
Last season, during The Summit 3, the Redemption Vote campaigning was filled with fierce competition. Invictus Gaming took the slot when the votes were tallied.

The Summit 4 Prize Pool
The Summit 4 will feature a $100,000 minimum prize pool, which has the potential to continue to grow through the planned Compendium and Chest sales. Full travel support will be provided to the teams.
