ESL One Manila group A: Elimination Series
CompLexity Gaming vs. Mineski
In the first game, Mineski was in the lead for the first half. With great talent and skill, the Filipino team was doing well but ended up getting caught in a cliff jungling pick off and were punished for not pushing when they were ahead. compLexity came from behind to defeat Mineski in the first game with a fantastic game on Axe by Linus “Limmp” Blomdin.
The second game saw a fantastic comeback by Mineski. compLexity Gaming started out with the lead, but some positioning issues and a big fight at Roshan turned things around for the home team. Benhur “Ben” Lawis on Alchemist clocked in with 1101 GPM – all time 7th highest GPM in a pro game, according to statistics. The Filipino victory forced a deciding third game.
By 17 minutes into the third game, compLexity Gaming had taken a substantial lead. They had full control of the map and were a constant threat for Mineski to even leave their base safely. Strong drafting and smooth execution gave the last game to compLexity Gaming fairly easy. With their victory, compLexity got Mineski eliminated from ESL One Manila.
