The MDL Winter 2015 Grand Finals end with a 3:0 sweep of Evil Geniuses, giving EHOME their third consecutive major championship title. EHOME have a firm foothold on the International scene and have demonstrated their ability to adapt, outplay and outdraft any opponent. OG quickly fell to Evil Geniuses in the lower finals, securing a third place win and advancing Evil Geniuses to the second place position.
The MDL Winter 2015 Grand Finals have come to the end in a quick and surprising manner. After an overwhelming sweep of OG by Evil Geniuses, with two incredibly one sided and swift matches, there was a two hour wait for the Grand Finals. With baited breath, fans waited, for the peak of the event, expecting to an intense showdown and rematch between EHOME and Evil Geniuses.
EHOME had sent Evil Geniuses to the lower brackets only yesterday with superb plays and coordination. Fans were eager to witness the rematch after the overpowering dominance and clean plays displayed by EG in the lower brackets finals earlier today.
Things were more than surprising as EHOME completely overpowered and destroyed Evil Geniuses in a 3:0 sweep. The Chinese team had been rising towards stardom during this last year following TI5 and seemed to have reached the top finally.
EHOME had taken first place in the Shanghai Dota 2 Open earlier this month and Dota 2 Radiant & Dire Cup 2015 at the end of December. Both championship titles were major tournaments but regional only. The MDL Winter 2015 championship is their third major championship title in one month, their first international championship title.
