Manila Major Qualifiers NA winners: Digital Chaos wins Major spot, hands down

Digital Chaos are the Manila Major Qualifiers NA winners, after overcoming Shazam, 3:0, in the region’s Grand Finals. The NA-European mix will be joining 15 other teams at the Manila Major. The event is scheduled to take place between June 7th-12th, in Manila, Philippines.

Digital Chaos are the Manila Major Qualifiers NA winners and will represent the Americas region at the spring Major, between June 7th-12th.

Digital Chaos received a direct invite in the regional qualifiers. In the group stage, they dominated the competition, topping Group B with a total of eight points. They ended the round robin phase with a perfect record, without suffering a single loss.

In the playoffs, Digital Chaos swept through the open qualifiers team, Dragneel, 2:0, in the semifinals. They then lost the Upper Bracket finals to Shazam, 1:2, only to come back strong when it mattered the most, in the Grand Finals.

After Dragneel forfeited the Lower Bracket finals, DC went up against Shazam once again in the finals and managed to close out the series in a clean, 3:0, sweep.

As Manila Major Qualifiers NA winners, Digital Chaos will join Team Secret, Team Liquid, Evil Geniuses, MVP.Phoenix, Wings Gaming, ViCi Gaming Reborn, Fnatic, OG, compLexity, Na’Vi, LGD Gaming, Alliance, Newbee (winners of Chinese Qualifiers), Mineski (winners of the SEA Qualifiers), and Team Empire (winners of the European qualifiers) at the Manila Major. The event is scheduled to take place between June 7th-12th, at the Mall of Asia in Manila, Philippines. The teams will be competing for a $3 million prize-pool.

Digital Chaos was dissolved by default after they lost Theeban “1437” Siva to Team Secret, as a coach, and then Evil Geniuses officially welcomed back both Kurtis “Aui_2000” Ling and Sam “BuLba” Sosale to the organization.

The North American organization picked up a squad consisting of Omar “w33” Aliwi, Rasmus “MiSeRy” Filipsen, Roman “Resolut1on” Fominok, David “Moo” Hull and Martin “Saksa” Sazdov. The mix of NA and European players have been together for a little over a month.
