iG.Vitality have found their groove in the Kiev Major China qualifiers.
The team is the first Chinese to secure themselves a spot in the Kiev Major.
iG.Vitality had slid into fourth place in the group stage, advancing by the skin of their teeth after taking both games in a three way tiebreaker.
The team then went on to sweep through CDEC Gaming 2:0 and then bested their sister team Invictus Gaming 2:1 in the upper bracket finals. Although they dropped the first match of the series, Xu “Sakata” Zichen dominated in the second two matches and the team cruised through to claim the matches, the series and the qualifying spot.
One more team – ViCi Gaming, CDEC or Invictus Gaming will have the opportunity to join their Chinese peers.

IG.Vitality was created in March 2016 for the Manila Major/TI6 roster season.
As one of the few teams to not make any changes to the lineup in the post TI6 season, continuing to play with the same roster.
IG did not have any representation at TI6. The Vitality squad had a strong presence during the season, participating in various regional events and qualifiers.
The young squad had encountered their own visa issues for the Boston Major – forcing them to take on their official substitute and one other to replace super and Dogf1ghts.
The team has made no roster changes since their inception and have progressed quite nicely to being a top contender for the Chinese region but fell a bit short taking 7-8th place in StarLadder i-League StarSeries Season 3.
