Team Malaysia ViCi Gaming and LGD are the remaining teams that will continue to battle it out tomorrow to the champions of i-League Season 3.
Alliance vs Team Malaysia
The first game was one sided with Team Malaysia breaking high ground before minute 20 with the game lasting 22 minutes. Alliance was not so eager to end their run in China and came back for a second game ready to take control. Team Malaysia first blood but Alliance was able to pick off heroes all over the map and after a five man wipe on Team Malaysia around minute 36, there was not much the Malaysians could do to salvage the game and two minutes later called “GG” to end, evening the series out 1:1. The third game started with a 1:1 trade with Jonathon “Loda” Berg getting the first blood. The early and early mid game seemed to be about even but around minute 30 when Team Malaysia was able to gain advantage and shortly after secured the last win to advance, eliminating Alliance from the remainder of the tournament.
Newbee vs Invictus Gaming
Newbee seizes the first game verses Invictus Gaming in a one side stomp with a score of 26: 4 ending in 44 minutes with Newbee’s advantage starting at three minutes into the game and continuing to grow throughout, never allowing IG to close the gap.
Despite the second game being much more even and lasting one hour long, Newbee was still able to sweep IG 2:0 and eliminate them from the event.
Team Malaysia vs Newbee
In the first game the five ranged Drow based pick helped Team Malaysia roll over Newbee convincingly. The Chinese called “GG” at minute 19, with only two kills for the Malaysians 21.
The second game was not much better for Newbee. Although they put up a better fight than in the first game the Malaysians continued to find their momentum from the first game and apply it to win in just over 30 minutes, sweeping through the Chinese team 2:0. Newbee has been eliminated and Team Malasyia will continue through the lower brackets and face LGD tomorrow.
LGD vs ViCi Gaming
The first game between the two Chinese teams in the Upper Bracket was a close and long one lasting 68 minutes. LGD had a slight advantage early game with ViCi Gaming finding their opening later close to mid game and were able to maintain control perfectly, getting objectives done one by one. Although LGD was able to regain the lead late game, they were never able to fully recover and ViCi Gaming eventually was able to close out the first game with a win. LGD evened out the series 1:1 in the second game with a close game going in their favor due to better drafting against ViCi Gaming’s line up with Naix as their core. ViCi Gaming seemed to have the game under control right off the bat as they were able to put a lot of pressure on the Dark Seer. Both Shadow Fiend and Queen of Pain had really good game overall and paired with the heals from Chen, ViCi Gaming proved to be difficult to stop and took the last game. ViCi Gaming will continue to the Grand finals as LGD drops to the lower bracket and will face Team Malaysia tomorrow in the lower bracket finals.
