00:00 CET: Frankfurt Major results, Group B: Decider Match Vega 1:1 OG
The first game started with heavy aggression coming out of both sides with kills being exchanged immediately. Vega were putting early pressure on Miracle-‘s shadow fiend but he was able to recover quickly and make some really amazing plays, putting OG in the lead. The European team started to build up more and more of a net-worth lead. The Nightstalker and Broodmother pick up gave OG a lot of mobility and map control with the farm of Shadow Fiend made them just difficult to control. 29 minutes into the game Vega called “GG” before a single tier 3 tower was even down.
For the second game OG drafted a Venomancer and Phoenix with Vega taking a last pick of Spectre for 9pasha. The game started with back to back trades in kills with OG getting first blood. Vega was in control in the laning phase, creating room for farming and setting up kills perfectly. They were then able to extend their lead, putting a lot of pressure on the map and easily taking favorable fights and executing their strategy well. A 4 man Winters Curse by Fly around 24 minutes gave OG much needed confidence and Roshan. They then went and attempted to take high ground, but it turned out to be a disaster, resulting in a five man wipe. Vega were then able to regain the momentum and control and push to the end, seizing the victory.
In the third game, OG changed things up, giving support player Andreas “Cr1t-“ Franck Nielsen Batrider. Vega gave Mag~ the Dark Seer again, a hero he does really well with. Vega started out doing well with a slight advantage in kills, experience and net-worth, however after a mid engagement in early game, OG started to come online and begin to look at trying to turn things. Mag~ continues to impress on his Dark Seer, adding much value to fights with his vaccum walls and positioning. The game continued to proceed to be a roller coaster, with swings and shifts in momentum, advantage and lead. After 59 minutes of an intense game, Vega was able to claim the victory.
- Frankfurt Major results: Vega best OG, 2:1, and advanced to the Upper Brackets. OG will compete in the lower brackets of the main event.
