Evil Geniuses began the series with a one-game advantage, having arrived in the Grand Finals through the Upper Brackets. Although C9 had a slight advantage early to mid game, Evil Geniuses would seize control around minute 18 with a beautiful Aegis steal by Saahil “UNiVeRsE” Arora, following a four-man wipe on C9 at the Roshan Pit. EG were able to maintain control all throughout the game. Kurtis “Aui_2000” Ling had yet another amazing game on his Skywrath Mage, going 12:1:12.
The second game was just pure domination by the North American giants, with an incredible game by Syed Sumail “Suma1L” Hassan on Queen of Pain. He went 19:1:9, and at around minute 13 he went on a “Rampage”, wiping out all of C9.
