ESL One has confirmed that EHOME has formally accepted the ESL One Manila invite to the event being held April 23-24th in Manila, Philippines.
Among the reports of teams such as Team Secret and Evil Geniuses declining the invite due to the event being close on the heels of the Manila Major in the same location weeks later, EHOME has confirmed their participation.
Eight teams will compete in Manila. Only two will be directly invited. Six teams will qualify – two teams from Southeast Asia and one team from each Europe, America, China and Philippines.
The event will be the regions first premium Dota 2 tournament boasting $250,000 prize pool and promise to feature one local team from the country, competing alongside some of the best teams in the world.
ESL One Manila invite: EHOME
Despite being subjected to some of the roster changes that always follow The International, EHOME have been demonstrating top performances ever since.
The Chinese team claimed back to back qualifier spots, since the beginning of the season. EHOME were forced to withdraw from the ESL One New York LAN, due to unfortunate visa issues. They made their LAN debut later, during the Nanyang Championships, where they went up against Team Secret, LGD and Fnatic, and showcased steady and promising performances.
They took third at Nanyang Championships LAN and fourth at the Frankfurt Major – both performances indicative of their blossoming future and the possibilities for championship titles that is brewing under the surface.
EHOME has received a nod from Valve as they were one of the few teams to receive a direct invite to the Shanghai Major.
Most recently took the championship title for Dota 2 Radiant & Dire Cup.
