EHOME grab back to back qualifier spots, defeat IG for Nanyang Championships slot

EHOME has qualified for the Nanyang Championships in Singapore after defeating Invictus Gaming 3:2. 14 teams were invited to compete for the one spot in the upcoming LAN with a $200,000 prize pool, including EHOME.cn, Invictus Gaming, Newbee and TongFu.

EHOME will join Fnatic, Virtus.Pro, Team Secret, ViCi Gaming, LGD, CDEC, Cloud 9 and two other qualified teams at the Suntec Convention and Event Centre, in Singapore, between October 26th and November 1st. The $200,000 tournament is expected to be the biggest of its kind in the Southeast Asian region.

History has repeated itself between EHOME and Invictus Gaming as EHOME seized the qualifying spot for Nanyang Championships from IG. Just one day prior, EHOME qualified for ESL One New York after defeating IG in the grand finals 3:1.

Invictus Gaming moved through the upper brackets to the Grand Finals. They swept through FTD.Club B, then bested CDEC.Youth 2:1. They were then able to defeat EHOME in upper bracket semi finals 2:1, sending them to the lower brackets.

EHOME swept through Team DK 2:0 and then bested TongFu 2:1 before dropping the lower brackets after their loss to IG. EHOME then swept through CDEC.Youth 2:0 to reface IG for a second opportunity to qualify and seize their second consecutive international qualifier spot in a matter of two days.

  • 1st place $100,000 + 48% crowdfunded amount
  • 2nd place $50,000 + 24% crowdfunded amount
  • 3rd place $25,000 + 12% crowdfunded amount
  • 4th place $10,000 + 8% crowdfunded amount
  • 5-6 place $7,500 + 4% crowdfunded amount
