Dota Pit Season 3 will finally come to a conclusion tonight, as Evil Geniuses will face Cloud 9 in the best-of-five Grand Finals, at 19:00 CEST. The two teams will compete for the championship title and the first place prize of $125,224 in their last appearances before TI5.

The long awaited Grand Finals will be featuring a best-of-five series with a one-game advantage given to Evil Geniuses for reaching the finals through the Upper Brackets. Evil Geniuses swept Virtus.Pro, 3:0, in the Upper Bracket finals to secure their placement in the tournament’s Grand Finals.Cloud 9 advanced after defeating Virtus.Pro, 3:1, on July 6th.

Dota Pit Season 3 has had an extended season since it began in January. The online tournament resumed on June 12th after an approximately six week hiatus due to various scheduling conflicts during the busy LAN tournament season and the TI5 qualifiers.

Dota Pit League Season 3 prize pool
The base prize pool of the Dota Pit Season 3 tournament was $80,000. In addition, 25% of every purchase of the compendium and 10% of every purchase of the chest or set go to the prize pool. $3,000 will be awarded to the player named as MVP. Thus far, the prize pool has reached $265,378.
