BTS Series Americas #2 will be kicking off this weekend starting tomorrow, September 12th, with the open qualifiers. The two winners will join 14 invited teams to compete for the prize pool of $10,000 and the championship title. The tournament is part of the 18 event BTS Series scheduled to take place over the next year, featuring a total prize pool of $180,000.

The next installment of the BTS series will be for the Americas region and take place from September 12th through the 23rd, on the FACEIT platform for the Americas region. 14 invited and two qualified teams will compete in a single elimination bracket tournament for $10,000 over the course of the 10 days.
ROOT Gaming will be defending their title of reigning champions from the BTS Americas #1 July 2015. Other invited teams from the region will feature TI5 participants compLexity Gaming, the new NA based Cloud 9 roster and the re-created FireDota team.
Fnatic was crowned the champions of the BTS Series SEA Cup #1 only yesterday after defeating First Departure in a convincing 3:0 sweep.
BTS Series Americas #2
In keeping with the spirit of the tournament series, the BTS Series Americas will kick off with an open qualifier to provide regional teams an opportunity to advance to the main event where they are able to gain more exposure and experience in higher skilled brackets.
Teams will need to sign up for the open qualifiers through the FACEIT platform in order to participate. The top two teams will advance to compete against invited teams.

Beyond the Summit partnered up with FACEIT to host BTS Americas, featuring 16 teams and a $10,000 prize pool last June/July. The event kicked off with an open qualifier worth $750. Two qualified teams, Rebelde and Snakes, got the chance to compete alongside 14 invited teams, including ROOT Gaming, Summer’s Rift, Archon and compLexity.
BTS Americas concluded with ROOT Gaming emerging as champions, after besting Summer’s Rift, 3:1.
