The first main qualifier for the ASUS.ROG DreamLeague Season 3 has come to an end, with ASUS.Polar emerging as the victor once again this week and advancing into the online second phase. On April 5, ASUS.Polar became the first team to qualify for the ESL One Frankfurt LAN, just one day after announcing their reformed roster.
ASUS.Polar shut down Goomba Gaming in the first round and pushed past Hell Raisers in the second round, to face Burden United in the finals. After taking the first game, ASUS.Polar found themselves in a tight position under Selim “Neqroman” Oynar’s Queen of Pain plays in the second game. However, they pulled out the final win in the deciding game three.

What’s next for ASUS.Polar
ASUS.Polar is the first team to qualify for the League that will start on May 4. Of the eight teams that will participate, four will come from the qualifier (as ASUS.Polar has), while the other four were invited: Na’Vi, Team Empire, Ninjas in Pyjamas and The Alliance.
Main Qualifier #2
April 14 – Quarterfinals 1-2
April 15 – Quarterfinals 3-4
April 16 – Semifinals
April 17 – Finals – Winner qualifies to League play
The four teams that have advanced to the Main Qualifiers #2 from the Open Qualifiers #3 and #4 are Flipsid3Tactics, YES, EED and Basically Unknown. The four teams invited into the Main Qualifiers have not yet been announced.
Open Qualifiers #5 and #6
April 11-12 – four teams to advance
The good news for the teams that have already played and failed to advance, is that they have not been eliminated from the tournament yet, so they might be given another chance through the remaining open qualifiers or even get invited again.
