ESL announced that Team Secret will be attending ESL One New York, October 3-4.

Team Secret convincingly advanced through the playoffs with ease before defeating Evil Geniuses 3:1 to claim the ESL One championship title.
Team Secret
After a disappointing eighth place finish at TI5, Team Secret announced a completely revamped roster on August 22nd. Clement “Puppey” Ivanov is the only original member remaining on the roster.
Artour “Arteezy” Babaev had departed from Team Secret to join Evil Geniuses and it was confirmed that Ludwig “zai” Wåhlberg was taking a break to finish school.
Jacky “Eternal Envy” Mao and Rasmus “MiSeRy” Filipsen from Cloud 9, Aliwi “w33haa″ Omar from 4CL and Johan “pieliedie” Åström from Mousesports joined the ranks of the new roster.

ESL One New York Qualifiers
ESL had released information regarding the format of the ESL One New York Qualifiers recently.
The event would feature both Open Qualifiers and Main Qualifiers for three regions: Europe, Southeast Asia and the US.
Three winners in the European Open Qualifiers, and four winners from both the Southeast Asia and the US Open Qualifiers would then advance to the Main Qualifiers for each region. The Main Qualifiers would include invited teams and open qualifier winners to compete for the allocated spots for each region for the main event.
Artur “Goblak” Kostenko’s stack, “newteam123123″, Golden Boys (formerly London Conspiracy) and Abraxas have claimed their spot from the European Open Qualifiers to participate in the European Main Qualifiers. The dates and invited teams are yet to be announced.
Team B, Kingdom, Team Underminer and Soundblaster BackTick are the four teams from the SEA region that will compete against the 8 invited teams from the region including the newly reformed Fnatic, MVP.Phoenix and Ng “YamateH” Wei Poong’s new team, Team SatuDuaTiga. The SEA Main Qualifiers kick off on September 1st with only one team advancing to the main event from the region.
ESL One New York
This year will feature a starting prize-pool of $250,000, almost double the final amount of last year’s event.
Invited teams have just started to be announced, although many will expect to see the reigning champions ViCi Gaming in attendance.
The event will take place again at the Madison Square Garden in New York City, on October 3rd and 4th.
ESL One New York Tickets
One recurring complaint the organization received from the community was that the cost of admission was too high. ESL One announced that they would reduce the cost and provide refund for those who have already purchased tickets.
Price changes
The price changes are as follows:
- Day ticket: $59 reduced to $39 ($20 refund)
- Weekend ticket: $89 reduced to $59 ($30 refund)
- Premium ticket: $269 reduced to $169 ($100 refund)
Refund process
Refunds will only be given at the event itself, on October 3rd and 4th.
In order to claim any refunds, ticket holders who purchased their tickets before August 4th will need to visit the ESL Shop at the Madison Square Garden Theater with proof of purchase and ID.

Tickets can be purchased online through ESL website, at Ticket Master or at the Madison Square Garden Box Office.
