The first day of the TI5 American qualifiers playoffs has concluded. compLexity defeated NAR, 2:0, securing themselves a trip to Seattle and a spot in the Grand Finals of the qualifier.

Mousesports eliminated Void Boys by sweeping them, 2:0, and now will move forward into the Lower Brackets to face NAR. Coverage starts on Thursday, May 28, at 19:00 CEST with the Lower Bracket finals followed by the Grand Finals.

North American Rejects and Mousesports will meet in the Lower Bracket on May 28, at 19:00 CEST. The winner will face compLexity in the best-of-five TI5 American Qualifiers finals, on May 28, at 23:00 CEST.

TI5 American Qualifiers Playoffs: Upper Brackets
North American Rejects topped Group A in the Round Robin stage, with three wins, one draw and a total of ten points. They only lost one game versus Wheel Whreck While Whistling.
North American Rejects was originally created in April 2014 to participate in The International 4 qualifiers. After disbanding in December 2014, two original members reformed the team on March 24, 2015.

compLexity topped Group B in the Round Robin stage, with three wins, one draw and a total of ten points. They only lost one game versus Mousesports.
In 2014, the compLexity organization ventured back into Dota 2 and picked up a North American team. Several roster changes later, the team stabilized in April 2015.

NAR 0 : 2 compLexity
Game 1
First blood went in the way of NAR. Early game was quiet with both teams trying to farm and focus on objectives. By 18 minutes into the game, the score was only 3:2 in favor of NAR and compLexity had already lost the tier 1 towers of each lane, while NAR still had all of theirs intact. When NAR took tier 1 top tower, a big fight broke out between nine of the heroes in the game resulting in a four for three trade in favor of compLexity, with Warlock and Weaver surviving. The score evened out to 6:6, NAR started to lose their gold lead and coL was leading in xp.
Fogged, North American Rejects
Both teams continued to trade pick offs and coL started to push middle lane. Another big fight broke out at minute 22, resulting in a four for one trade and the tier 2 mid tower in favor of compLexity. After backing off, NAR took Roshan at around minute 25, but coL was putting pressure all over the map getting smoke ganks, pickoffs and towers, as well as farm. Warlock was now at the top of the net worth chart. At minute 35, NAR smoked up looking for coL for a fight but was unable to find them and retreated back into their woods. Meanwhile, compLexity went in and took Roshan completely uncontested and started to push mid. NAR was still pushing towards coL’s base. As both teams started to retreat and defend, coL grouped up and pushed down mid. The fight at mid base at about minute 39, resulted in a dieback by Shadow Demon and a three-hero wipe with buybacks on Beast Master and Witch Doctor, while trading two deaths and a buyback on Weaver before coL retreated.
NAR headed down midlane into compLexity’s base, but quickly retreated without taking any barracks or kills. NAR then grouped up again and returned to the base at top, again hesitating to enter the high grounds. During their hesitation, coL was able to take a Roshan and, as NAR entered base, they took a 1:2 trade, losing two of their heroes, while coL pushed into their middle base with the Aegis. coL took three kills and the barracks before retreating to defend their own base. Heading back to NAR’s base, they left Sand King to defend their own base. “GG” was called at minute 54.
compLexity grabbed the first game.
Game 2
compLexity grabbed first blood on top lane. They had a slight advantage in the laning phase and managed to secure three kills. compLexity started to push hard and, by 11 minutes into the game, they had taken the top, two middle towers and three more kills, securing a comfortable lead in each area. A fight on the top lane at minute 13 resulted in three NAR heroes killed. compLexity were able to continue to apply pressure and push. The game was quickly slipping away from NAR.
compLexity took Roshan and a pick off and headed back towards NAR’s base. Around minute 21, both teams smoked up looking for each other but it was coL that would find a kill on NAR. North American Rejects realized their position and started to heavily split push, but were not as successful as they would have liked, as compLexity still managed to pick them off. A Roshan attempt by NAR gave Shadow Fiend the Aegis and resulted in a five-hero plus aegis death for them. compLexity continued to push through into the barracks and were able to take the game at minute 38.
compLexity took the second game.
compLexity swept North American Rejects, 2:0, and advanced into the TI5 American Qualifiers playoffs grand finals. The team has already secured a trip to Seattle for either the main event or the the wild card series.
TI5 American Qualifiers Playoffs: Lower Brackets
Void Boys were the runner up team in Group A, with a total of 7 points: 2 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss. They lost both of their games versus NAR and one game versus Wheel Whreck While Whistling.
VoidBoys are fairly new to the scene. The Canadian team was formed in November of 2014.

Mousesports were the runner up team in Group B with a total of 8 points, after losing one game versus Root Gaming and one versus compLexity.
Team Tinker was created in August 2014, during the post-TI4 reshuffle. After a few roster changes, they were picked up by the German organization Mousesports, in May 2015.

Game 1
Mousesports drew first blood to get things going in the first game. Mouz were doing well in the laning phase and early game, leading in all areas and dominating in kills. By minute 10, the score was 6:1 in their favor. Mouz continued to use their advantage and push with better effectiveness and efficiency than Void Boys, who were struggling to do the same. At minute 20, Mouz took Roshan, a few pick offs and the radiant courier, placing VB at a bigger disadvantage. Windrunner was leading the net-worth chart with a decent advantage over Mouz’ Gyrocopter and a significant lead over VB’s Drow Ranger. VB called “GG” to end the game at minute 30, giving Mousesports the victory.
Game 2
The first death of the game was Void Boys’ courier around two minutes into the game. Mouz once again drew the first blood. The second game seemed much more even with kill trades and both teams farming. About 12 minutes into the game, VB started to pull ahead in kills, being able to successfully pick off heroes all over the map, but Mouz retained the gold lead with Phantom Lancer and Invoker farming well.
Black^, Mousesports
Both teams smoked and grouped up just after minute 14 and headed to bottom lane, where a fight broke out resulting in a four for one trade in favor of Mouz. The game progressed with more trade-off fights. VB started to pull slightly ahead, with Sven gaining his farm and Spirit Breaker’s charges getting pick-offs. Void Boys started to take Roshan at minute 25 but abandoned it when they were contested by Mouz, who then moved in to take it. Spirit Breaker charged in at the last moments but Mouz killed the Roshan and grabbed the Aegis giving a 2:1 trade to Void Boys and buybacks on both sides from Invoker and Spirit Breaker to continue the fight. VB ultimately lost another three heroes for one of Mousesports’.
The game continued with back and forth fights and Mouz putting pushing pressure into the play. At minute 36, Mouz took out three of VB’s heroes. They were able to use that time to their advantage, push through and break highground, by taking top barracks, Roshan and the middle tower. Mouz pushed mid at around minute 39, taking mid barracks and moving to the bottom barracks. The game ended after 44 minutes.
Mousesports took the second win.
Mousesports eliminated Void Boys with a 2:0 sweep and advance to the Lower Bracket finals to face NAR for the chance to compete in the Grand Finals against compLexity.
