All eight teams have arrived in LA to participate in the highly anticipated festivities of The Summit 3. Over the course of the next few days, teams will compete for the estimated $265,000 prize pool and the esteemed honor of grabbing the championship title and a guaranteed invite back for the fourth season.

The Summit 3 format and schedule
The first phase of the tournament includes a double elimination bracket within each group. All games in this phase are best-of-three. The top two teams from each group will advance.
The playoffs will be held as a four-team double elimination bracket. The games will be best-of-three. The remaining two teams will advance to the Grand Finals, which will be played as best-of-five series.
The Summit 3 groups
The eight teams have been split into two groups, each group containing four teams. The groups were balanced out by dividing up the teams which qualified from the same region.
The Summit 3 participating teams
8 teams will take part in the Summit 3:
One directly invited team: Vici Gaming (winner of Season 2)
One team from China: LGD Gaming
LGD was the last team to qualify to The Summit 3, after having defeated CDEC Gaming, HyperGlory Team and E-Home in the qualifiers. They secured their place after a close 3:2 victory over E-Home in the qualifier finals.
One team from SouthEast Asia: Rave
After besting MVP.Phoenix, 3:2, in the SEA regional qualifier finals, Rave secured their visas and are now able to make their first North American appearance.
Two teams from Europe: Team Secret and Cloud 9
Team Secret and Cloud 9 both qualified for the Summit 3 when Team Secret grabbed the first EU LAN spot, sending Virtus.Pro to the Lower Brackets, after a 3-2 victory. VP then ended up facing Cloud 9 and lost 3-0, giving Cloud 9 the victory and the last spot.
Two teams from the Americas: Evil Geniuses and Not Today
Evil Geniuses secured their placement at The Summit 3 after a 2-1 victory over Not Today (NoT), sending the Peruvians to the Lower Brackets. Not Today were not satisfied with missing the event in LA and triumphed over CompLexity, 2-1, in the Lower Brackets of the Summit 3 qualifiers. This is the Peruvians’ second appearance at The Summit tournaments.
One Redemption team: Invictus Gaming
Invictus Gaming put all of their efforts into their last chance, a battle for the Redemption Vote. The team promised their fans they would dress up in maids costumes and won the majority of the votes and their place at the event.

In true nature and form of The Summit events, additional bonus features such as special guests, interviews, behind the scenes pictures and coverage as well as unscripted and raw footage will be aired and shared with viewers.
