Team Faceless and WarriorsGaming.Unity are Boston bound after thrilling victories and performances in the SEA Boston Major qualifier playoffs. Team Faceless had a flawless run from start to finish – not dropping a single match. WarriorsGaming.Unity prevailed after coming up through the open qualifiers. Both teams will head to out to the Boston Major to take place between December 7th-11th, joining Wings Gaming, Digital Chaos, Evil Geniuses, Newbee, EHOME, Execration, OG and MVP.Phoenix.

The only team across all regions to boast a perfect record and run through the entirety of the qualifiers – Team Faceless was the first team from the SEA Boston Major qualifier playoffs to claim a spot at the Boston Major.
An astounding and exceptional performance by the Singaporean based team of veterans and stars has left fans awestruck.
After topping their group Daryl “iceiceice” Koh and friends chose to play against WarriorsGaming.Unity for their first playoff match.
WG.Unity came out of left field to stun viewers. The team had a long and grueling journey to Boston.
The Malaysian team first had to survive through the brutal best-of-one elimination series of the open qualifiers and then swept through Acion Arena and Fire Dragoon Esports 2:0 to advance to the regional qualifiers.
In the SEA Boston Major qualifiers, they landed third place in the group with a 5:3 record. Dropping their first match to Team Faceless, WG.Unity were sent to the lower bracket elimination series. They faced one of the favorites – Fnatic and upset the team with a 2:1 victory – ending the famous Malayisan team’s hopes for Boston. They then swept through Mineski 2:0 for the second SEA Boston Major qualifier playoffs spot.
Boston Major
The Boston Major will be held between December 7th-11th, at the Wang Theater, in Boston, USA, with a set prize-pool of $3,000,000. Sixteen teams will compete in the main event hosted by PGL and Valve. Wings Gaming, Digital Chaos, Evil Geniuses, Newbee, EHOME, Execration, OG and MVP.Phoenix have already been directly invited to the event.
Team Faceless
Daryl “iceiceice” Koh, Dominik “Black^” Reitmeier, Wong “NutZ” Jeng Yih, Anucha “Jabz” Jirawong and Toh “Xy-” Wai Hong have joined forces to compete in SEA as Team Faceless.
Four of the players have had participation at The Internationals – iceiceice attended The International 2011 with Scythe Gaming, taking third place, sixth place at TI3, fourth at TI4 and TI5; Black^ competed at TI2 and TI3; NutZ in TI5 and Xy TI1, TI2, TI3.
The mix of players made their debut shortly after forming in September in the ROG Masters qualifiers. They took 5-8th place in the event after dropping to Mineski in the quarter finals.

The Malaysian team has participated in the SEA Manila Major regional qualifiers and TI6 SEA Regional qualifiers in the past. This time the teams comes to the regional qualifiers through the open brackets.
The Malaysian team didn’t drop a single match after cruising through the best-of-one elimination series and then sweeping through Acion Arena 2:0 in the semi finals and Fire Dragoon Esports in two very quick matches in the finals.
Since August, the team has won at least five minor tournaments in the region.
