BTS 6 new dates, teams and qualifier information have been announced. Although announced almost one year ago, BTS 6 was forced to change the original dates of the event due to conflict with the Boston Major 2016. The new dates are set for November 16th-20th. Wings, Digital Chaos, Evil Geniuses and OG have been directly invited. Four regional qualifiers – China, SEA, NA and EU will begin immediately with China and SEA, followed by EU starting on October 11th and NA on October 12th. The short notice has prompted less than 24 hour notice for European Open Qualifiers – set for today, October 10th at 17:00 CEST. NA open qualifiers will be held October 11th.

BTS 6 new dates, teams and qualifier information have been announced. The much hyped house based LAN tournament has been a constant fixture and favorite of fans and players alike for the last several years.
Last December, as the fourth installation of the Summit LAN events was drawing to close – BTS 5 and 6 were announced. Originally scheduled to take place December 7-11, the BTS crew found themselves in a precarious situation five days ago when the Boston Major 2016 was announced to be taking place on the same dates – the main event being held December 7-10th.
Working quickly to resolve the issue, BTS have pulled together an event to be held November 16-20th – a perfect time of year in sunny Los Angeles, California.
Unfortunately, the change in plans resulted in short notice for qualifiers including less than 24 hours for the open qualifiers in EU and just over a day’s notice for the NA qualifiers.
Four teams have been directly invited to participate – Wings, Digital Chaos, Evil Geniuses and OG. Four other teams will qualify – one from each of the four regions – China, SEA, EU and NA.
China and SEA closed qualifiers have already begun this morning. Eight invited teams from each region will battle it out in a double elimination bracket for the one spot.
EU kicks off today with an open qualifier. One team will advance to join seven invited teams to a single elimination bracket series with one team advancing to the second phase. Phase II will be three invited teams and the one qualified team competing in a double elimination series.
NA will start tomorrow with an open qualifiers. One team will advance to join three invited teams to the double elimination bracket series.
As always all closed qualifier matches will be broadcast live by BTS.
