Jimmy “DeMoN” Ho has switched gears and instead of playing in South America for Infamous Gaming, the veteran North American is heading to Southeast Asia to play for the Filipino team – TnC Gaming. DeMoN will be replacing mid player John Linuel “Teehee” Abanto, assuming the support role and Carlo “Kuku” Palad will resume his original position in mid lane. Infamous Gaming has not revealed a replacement for DeMoN with five days left before the TI6 Open Qualifiers.
UPDATE (August 13th):
TI6 final standings, updates and highlights – HERE
Jimmy “DeMoN” Ho had moved to South America to play with Infamous Gaming only two weeks ago. On May 28th, it was confirmed that DeMoN had joined forces with the South American team Infamous Gaming as a replacement for recently retired player Juan “AtuuuuuN” Ochoa.
With only five days left remaining before the TI6 open qualifiers begin, DeMoN has changed his plans and TI6 route midway through. His diversion leaves Infamous Gaming short notice to fill his shoes to compete against teams such as Evil Geniuses and Digital Chaos in the TI6 open and regional NA qualifiers.
The North American veteran player has now joined TnC in SouthEast Asia instead, to compete in the TI6 SEA Open Qualifiers.
The announcement comes as a surprise to many as a last minute change. According to TnC Gaming, the difference in goals between John Linuel “Teehee” Abanto and the others is the primary reason for their roster change.
This roster change happened due to sudden differences in our goals and objectives in the team. As much as we want to keep Teehee in our roster, we believe that it’s not the best decision at least for this qualifier since his vision is not the same with the team’s vision anymore. He is a very talented player but we want our team to be in the same page especially for this tournament.
– Paulo Sy, TNC Pro Team Manager
The team was already getting ready to participate in the TI6 SEA regional open qualifiers starting on June 21st – after a change in lineup in April. At that time TnC had brought on board Carlo “Kuku” Palad to fill in the shoes of Gio “WinterGSmallSon” de Ocampo who is now inactive due to health reasons. Kuku filled the support role, although he was primarily known for being a mid lane player.
With Teehee’s departure, Kuku will return to mid role while DeMoN will play in the fifth position support role.
TnC
TnC Gaming, a Dota 2 team from the Philippines, was founded in 2013. On February 2, 2015 TnC announced that their new team was participating in its first major tournament.
The team won first place in Corsair Gaming Arena 2 and 3 and qualified for the MPGL Season 7 LAN finals, where they were eliminated by G-Guard in the Lower Bracket Round 2.
BTS Series 3 SEA came to a spectacular finish at the end of February in an epic decisive fifth game when TnC triumphed over MVP.Phoenix in the last moments.
They were unable to surmount Fnatic’s fearsome winning streak and performances in BTS Series 4 SEA as they fell to the Malaysian squad in the grand finals 3:0.
The team had qualified for the Manila Major SEA Regional qualifiers after barreling their way through the open qualifiers. They would end up taking second place in the regional qualifiers as they fell to Mineski 3:0, missing the one spot for the Manila Major main event.

(969 comments)Well jimmy is half Filipino so I guess things will work out for him. Its good for an experience player who played for a tier 1 team to share his knowledge to us Filipinos who’s been struggling in the international scene for years now.
