TV5 is set to broadcast the ESL One Manila Finals live on local TV. The news came during a 90-minute press conference held by the Mineski-Events Team, ESL One Manila co-presenters – PLDT Home Fibr and SMART – and team Mineski. ESL One Manila is the first event of this caliber to be held in the area, featuring eight of the world’s best teams competing for a $250,000 prize pool, between April 22-24.

Earlier today, it was reported that Mineski-Events Team, ESL One Manila co-presenters PLDT HOme Fibr and SMART held a press conference at the Museum Cafe in Greenbelt 4. There, it was announced that TV5 would broadcast the ESL One Manila finals live on local TV.
TV5 is a local non cable channel. Additionally, the rest of the event will also be broadcast on television on AksyonTV, a TV5 subsidiary. TV5 will air the ESL One Manila Grand Finals on Sunday April 24th, from 9 pm – 11 pm, local time. The rest of the event can be viewed on AksyonTV, on Saturday, April 23rd, and Sunday, April 24, from 10:00 am – 10:00 pm, local time. The entire event will also be streamed live on Twitch.
Mineski CEO, Ronald Robins, and the VP for Esports, Marlon Marcelo, spoke about the Philippines becoming a major contender in the international esports arena. The conference also highlighted the upcoming ESL One Manila and the country’s large and dedicated fanbase. Representatives from ESL One Manila co-presenters – PLDT and SMART – also spoke about their support for the growing industry.
Mineski players were on hand at the event as well, being the regional representatives in the ESL One Manila main event.
In an effort to grow the local scene and showcase regional talent, a local Filipino Dota 2 team was given their own set of qualifiers to determine one team to compete alongside some of the best Dota 2 teams in the world.
At the end of March, the ESL One Manila Philippine qualifiers saw Mineski seize their place, when they overwhelmed TnC, 3:1.

The new adjusted schedule will extend the tournament by one more day of competition. It will now start on Friday, April 22nd, with the initial group stage games.

- Saturday: Elimination + Decider Matches (Decider Matches will replace the quarterfinals)

ESL One Manila
On December 8th, ESL One announced the organization’s first Dota 2 tournament to be held in Southeast Asia. ESL One Manila is organized in collaboration with PLDT Fibr and GameX and is Southeast Asia’s first premier esports event.
ESL One Manila will take place between April 22-24, at the Mall of Asia Arena, in Manila, Philippines.

Tickets have gone on sale and are available for prices ranging from $10 for a general admission two-day pass, to $106 for VIP tickets which include free food and drinks, goodie bags, exclusive signing sessions and premium seating in front of the stage.
ESL One Manila will be hosted at the Mall of Asia Arena
The Mall of Asia Arena is an indoor arena within the SM Mall of Asia complex, in Manila, Philippines. A rather new, state-of-the-art building, the arena has only been inaugurated in 2012 and has a seating capacity of 16,000 for sporting events, and a full house capacity of 20,000.
