DotaBlast sources have confirmed that ViCi Gaming look to Fan “rOtk” Bai and Chen “Cty” Tianyu to revitalize their squad, adding the two star players to the lineup. As Daryl “iceiceice” Koh Pei Xiang and Lu “Fenrir” Chao both parted ways with the organization to join EHOME, ViCi Gaming will undergo drastic roster changes. However, the team’s prospects for the upcoming season remain optimistic.
With the Shanghai Major behind us, the aftereffects of the last season and the upcoming one’s prospects are upon us. Teams have until March 27th to register their final rosters for the new season and they cannot afford to make decisions lightly, since the lineups will become locked until after The International 6. The Chinese shuffle in particular has already started to shape up into one of the most substantial ones in recent history. ViCi Gaming, EHOME and LGD are some of the first teams to report roster changes.
Starting on March 5th, Fan “rOtk” Bai has separated from LGD Gaming, stating that he would regroup with his old friends and register for the next Major and for The International 6. His words sparked rumors of a reunion with close friend and ex-teammate Xu “BurNIng” Zhilei.
On March 9th, both Daryl “iceiceice” Koh Pei Xiang and Lu “Fenrir” Chao parted ways with ViCi Gaming and joined EHOME. It was reported that they would be replacing Chen “Cty” Tianyu and Hu “kaka” Liangzhi.
According to DotaBlast sources, ViCi Gaming’s lineup is currently comprised of only three players: Xu “BurNIng” Zhilei, Fan “rOtk” Bai, and Chen “Cty” Tianyu. Our sources have further suggested that the organization is on the lookout for players who could fill the 4/5 positions. It has been rumored that Xie “Super” Junhao is considering retirement, while Xu “fy” Linsen will join VG.Potential.
The organization has not issued any official clarifications as of yet.
Since the rosters become locked on March 27th, nothing is truly set in stone until the teams officially register on dota2.com.
ViCi Gaming
When ViCi Gaming failed to advance into the Upper Brackets of The International 5 main event, they fought valiantly in the brutal best-of-one elimination series and progressed all the way to the semifinals to claim fourth place.
Following the event, Chen “Hao” Zhihao returned to Newbee and the squad recruited Xu “BurNIng” Zhilei as a replacement.
Their new roster made a late debut at the Nanyang Championships LAN, where they managed to come in second. They followed suit with a 6th place finish at the Frankfurt Major. They took 3rd at The Summit 4 and in the Dota 2 Radiant & Dire Cup 2015, 3rd-4th at the Shanghai Dota 2 Open and a slightly less than expected 5th-6th place at the MDL Winter 2015.
They had a surprisingly disappointing performance at the Shanghai Major where they took 13-16th place after seeding into the brutal best-of-one Lower Brackets. Unlike at TI5, they were unable to advance, being eliminated in the first round by Virtus.Pro.
ViCi Gaming current roster:
Xu “BurNIng” Zhilei
Chen “Cty” Tianyu
Fan “rOtk” Bai

(9 comments)This feels like a repetition of CDEC with VG.Potential surpassing the first VG squad. If they can’t get Tier 1 supports, it’s going to be difficult for them.
