BTS EU series 4 has come to an end, crowing Virtus.Pro champions. The completely revamped roster has taken their first title for the new season and demonstrated a very strong start and performance.
BTS EU series 4 pit together 16 teams from across the continent for $5,000.
Virtus.Pro were crowned victors after besting Elements Pro Gaming 2:1 in the grand finals.
Virtus.Pro was part of Group C – the toughest group in the event that resulted in a three way first play tie between VP, Fantastic Five and ProDota Gaming. After a round of tie-breakers in which they refused to yield a single match, Virtus.Pro secured their spot in the playoffs and continued their dominating streak to wipe out F.R.I.E.N.D.S 2:0.
Elements Pro Gaming took first place in their group with a total of four points and then eliminated Vega Squadron in their 2:0 sweep over the CIS team.
Sixteen invited teams competed over the course of 6 days for a $5,000 prize pool. Virtus.Pro, Team Empire, Kaipi, Pro Dota Gaming, AD FINEM, Flipsid3 Tactics, and Escape Gaming were among the invited teams.
The new tournament format featured the teams divided into groups of four. The teams played a two-game series against three opponents throughout the five-day group stage. After breaking ties, the top team in each group advanced to a single elimination playoff bracket to be played to conclude the event.
