Vega Squadron became the second team to qualify for the studio LAN portion for the Game Show Global eSports Cup. Vega swept through HellRaisers, 3:0, for the second CIS spot. Team Empire has already qualified and six more teams from NA, SEA, China and Europe will be joining the event scheduled to take place in Vilnius, Lithuania, between November 30 – December 3. The top four teams will then continue to the playoffs at DreamHack winter in Moscow, December 5-6.

Of the six CIS teams participating in the regional qualifiers, Vega swept through Hell Raisers for their qualifying spot while Team Empire swept through Scaryfacezzz 3:0 for their spot.
The remaining regional qualifiers as underway currently:
European region will be coming to an end shortly as well with London Conspiracy facing 4CL in a best-of-five series. No Logic Gaming is still awaiting their opponents as STARK and Team Alternate will need to first complete a tiebreaker match to determine which team will advance to face NLG in the best-of-five series. Two teams will advance to the Vilnius LAN stage.
Southeast Asia region
In the SEA, TnC defeated Pang5 in the first best-of-three round and will await the winner from MVP.Hot6ix vs Signature.Trust in the Grand Finals. MVP will face Signature.Trust later today, at 16:00 CET. Only one team will advance.
Americas region is down to four teams scheduled to play on November 8 and 9th in best-of-three Round 1. compLexity will face Void Boys while Leviathan will compete against EWolves. Only one team will advance from the region.
The Chinese region is still underway in the second group stage. Newbee and DK.S have already advanced to the best-of-five series with one of the teams qualifying for the LAN. Currently there is a five way tie to be sorted out. Invictus Gaming, CDEC, FTD.B, TongFu and Wings Gaming are all tied and additional matches will determine the two teams that will advance to the best-of-five series. Two teams from the region will advance to the LAN stage.
Game Show Global eSports Cup Season 1
The Game Show Global eSports Cup Season 1 was announced in early September, featuring competitors from five regions: North America, Europe, CIS, China and SEA.
The CIS regional LAN stage of the event took place at Igromir Expo Center, in early October.
The playoff stage of the CIS regional qualifiers kicked off with seven teams, including Arcade.Power Rangers, HellRaisers and CIS Rejects competing at the Igromir Exhibition Center in Moscow for the $20,000 prize pool and two spots for the Studio LAN playoffs. CIS Rejects and ScaryFaceZzz took the first and second place spots.
Game Show Global eSports Cup format
The Game Show Global eSports Cup is being played out in six distinct stages. Open Qualifiers, two Group stages and Regional Qualifiers are held in five regions: North America, Europe, CIS, China and SEA. The last two phases of the event will feature Studio LAN playoffs and the Grand Finals to be held at the DreamHack LAN event in Moscow, Russia.
Game Show Global eSports Cup Regional Qualifiers
The event series will feature online open qualifiers for five regions, Europe, CIS, North America, China and SEA. After the open qualifiers, two group stages will take place followed by regional qualifiers. The best regional teams will then proceed to the Studio LAN playoffs.
To date, only the CIS region has completed the online qualifiers and group stages.

Eight of the best teams from the various regions will compete in the fifth phase of the event series. The Studio LAN playoffs will take place between November 30 – December 3 in Vilnius, Lithuania. Only four teams will reach the Grand Finals of the tournament.
