Vega head to SL iLeague Dota Invitational 1

Vega are heading to SL iLeague Dota Invitational 1. The CIS team wiped out Team Spirit 3:0 in order to take the only Western qualifier spot allocated for the event. They will join recently qualified ViCi Gaming Reborn to compete alongside the six directly invited teams – Alliance, MVP.Phoenix, ViCi Gaming, LGD and two others to be announced. The event begins next week, April 14-17th in Kiev, Ukraine and features a $100,000 prize pool.

Vega Squadron claim the European spot in the SL iLeague Dota Invitational 1 after sweeping through Team Spirit 3:0 in the grand finals.

Vega was invited to participate in the European Qualifiers starting in the Quarter Finals. They first bested ProDota Gaming 2:1 and then Danish Bears to advance to the Grand Finals.

Team Spirit was also invited to join the event in the Quarter Finals. They defeated both ATN and then Ad Finem to grab their place against Vega.

Vega will now join Alliance, LGD, ViCi Gaming, MVP.Phoenix, ViCi Gaming Reborn plus two other directly invited teams to be announced. The eight teams will compete for the $100,000 prize pool April 14-17th in the Kiev Cybersport Arena in Kiev, Ukraine.

SL iLeague Dota Invitational 1

SL iLeague Dota Invitational will feature a new series of competitions with the first season boasting a prize pool of $100,000. The event will take place April 14-17th at the Kiev Cybersport Arena in the Ukraine.

Eight teams will compete, including reigning champions Alliance. ViCi Gaming, LGD and MVP.Phoenix have been directly invited to compete. Two more invited teams will be announced. Vega Squadron has secured the European qualifier spot and ViCi Gaming Reborn secured their place for the Chinese spot through their victories in the H-Cup.
