TI6 Qualifiers EU results
TI6 Qualifiers EU Upper Bracket Finals: Alliance vs Ad Finem
Alliance had outplayed Ad Finem in both of their matches today. The drafts were fairly even both games and even interesting as Alliance didn’t have any stunners in the first match. It all came down to the mechanics and coordination. For Ad Finem, the second game slipped from their grasp after a bad team fight by the secret shop. Alliance went on to claim their place in the Grand Finals and secure a trip to TI6.

TI6 Qualifiers SEA Lower Bracket Finals: Ad Finem vs Escape Gaming
Escape Gaming was able to overcome the full Greek Squad in the lower brackets. Escape Gaming took the first match with ease as Ad Finem allowed for Maurice “KheZu” Gutmann to have his signature hero Timbersaw to cut right through them like butter. Ad Finem made sure not to repeat that mistake in the second match, banning the hero right away. The Greeks were able to rally up and take the second match, evening out the score. The defining moment came during the third match with a flawless game by Max “qojqva” Bröcker on Invoker and a incredible performance by Adrian “Era” Kryeziu on Juggernaut. Giorgos “SsaSpartan” Giannakopoulos’s wisp wasn’t enough to surmount the European mix and Escape pushed into the victory.

TI6 Qualifiers EU Grand Finals:Alliance vs Escape Gaming
The first game was a thrilling nail-biting 70 minute game. While Escape Gaming had much of the lead and control, Alliance was able to end the game after killing qojqva without buyback and Loda buying a Divine Rapier. After the delays to start due to Joakim “Akke” Akterhall’s PC forcing updates, the match was underway. In only 35 minutes compared to the first match, the game set out to be dead even for the first 18 minutes. Escape Gaming pulled ahead after a good team fight and reached the finish line first to set the series even at 1:1. Alliance rebounded back for the next games, taking control for both of them. In the fourth game, the Swedes were sure to not let either Medusa or Tinker to come online and shine, shutting them and the game down before it would be a threat. In the last game though things started out even, Alliance chipped away at Escape Gaming and took control a bit later until the end.

(868 comments)The match was great, but that was a throw by Escape… I didn’t know who to cheer for, Synd and Yapzor, or Bulldog and s4. I’m glad these two out of all the teams made it to the finals, hope to see Escape @TI as well
