Ad Finem cruised through the upper brackets with a a very convincing 2:0 sweep over Fantastic Five, while Alliance had bested their coach’s team 2:1.
Fantastic Five struggled and was unable to find their rhythm and momentum that they needed to proceed further.
The matches resume on June 28, at 10:00 CEST, and are expected to be intense, as the teams continue their quest within the second stage of the qualifiers – the double elimination brackets and Grand Finals. TI6 Qualifiers EU results
Upper Bracket preliminaries Escape Gaming vs Alliance
The first game between coach and his Swedish ‘students’ was heavily in favor of Alliance. Despite Yazied “YapzOr” Jarada playing on Earth Shaker and the team having a Timbersaw, Alliance outplayed the European mix. Gustav “s4” Magnusson had a fantastic game going on Zeus mid while Jonathan “Loda” Berg had a perfect game on Juggernaut.
The second match gave Escape Gaming a chance to comeback. Armed with a powerful Terrorblade played by Adrian “Era” Kryeziu and an incredibly farmed Lone Druid played by Max “qojqva” Bröcker, the Europeans took control and the match to even up the score.
The deciding game was once again all for the Swedes. Having little to no trouble at all securing their victory, thanks to a perfect game by s4 on Earth Spirit and fantastic performance by Loda on Slark the Swedes knocked Escape into the lower brackets.
TI6 Qualifiers EU results: Escape Gaming 1:2 Alliance With their victory, Alliance advanced in the upper brackets, dropping Escape Gaming to the lower brackets elimination series.
Upper Bracket preliminaries Fantastic 5 vs Ad Finem
The first match of the series saw Fantastic 5 boasting the Timbersaw and Ad Finem with the Sven. While the first 20 minutes were back and forth, touch and go, the Greek squad took a great team fight and the momentum. Almost losing it once, they were able to maintain their hold for the remainder of the game. Omar “Madara” Dabasas’s Sven ended with a 24:4:7 score.
The second match was over in only 27 minutes and Ad Finem never gave the CIS squad a chance to make any impact in the game. Dmitris “ThuG” Plivouris’s invoker and Madara’s Slark was flawless. The Greek squad completely shut down their opponents and knocked them into the lower brackets.
TI6 Qualifiers EU results: Fantastic Five 0:2 Ad Finem Ad Finem advanced the upper bracket finals and Fantastic Five dropped to the lower brackets elimination series.
Lower Bracket Round 1 Escape Gaming vs Fantastic Five
The first match of the series was heavily one sided in favor of Fantastic Five and over in just over 20 minutes. Stanislav “BzzIsPerfect” Glushan had an exceptional and flawless game on Death Prophet and the Chaos Knight-Io combo proved to be too much for the European mix to handle.
The second match took just over one hour to complete – lasting 67 minutes. Fantastic Five went with a medusa pick, but Maurice “KheZu” Gutmann’s Timbersaw was just outstanding and dominated the match. With Escape playing well in the early game gave F5 no chance at all to gain any traction. The European victory forced a deciding third match.
The third match seemed like Escape had baited Fantastic Five into the Beastmaster pick and they also picked up a Medusa – two heros which didn’t work well for them last game. As with their last success, Escape picked up the Timbersaw for KheZu once again which he dominated on and gave qojqva the Invoker which he played flawlessly on, ending with a 12:0:6 score. Escape took the game with ease and eliminated Fantastic Five.
TI6 EU results: Escape Gaming 2:1 Fantastic Five. Escape Gaming advance in the lower bracket finals and eliminated Fantastic Five from the event.

(868 comments)Shame, they had their thing going on for some time. They needed to be on their A game the whole time because of the competition. Two slip-ups and now they’re out. Gl to them in the future, hope they stay together for a while, I’m sure they will get better
