CompLexity Gaming saw Team Spirit eliminated from the Shanghai Major. The series was delayed, after Roman “Ramzes” Kushnarev’s keyboard came up missing and a new one had to be secured. compLexity Gaming showed no mercy, as they seized control of the match from the first moments and refused to relinquish any opportunities to the CIS team.
The Shanghai Major Main Event was kicked off with the Upper Brackets matches between Alliance and Team Liquid, followed by MVP.Phoenix vs. LGD Gaming. Team Liquid and MVP.Phoenix continue through the Upper Brackets, while Alliance and LGD have dropped to the Lower Brackets best-of-one series scheduled for the second day of the competition.
Team Archon was the first team to be eliminated from the Shanghai Major.
Team Spirit were the second team to be bumped out of the Shanghai Major.
compLexity Gaming will go up against LGD Gaming tomorrow, March 3rd, starting with 11:30 CET.
Two more teams will be eliminated today. Virtus.Pro, ViCi Gaming, Newbee and CDEC will compete to stay in the competition in the next best-of-one elimination series.

The deadly best-of-one elimination series began with Team Spirit securing first blood. compLexity Gaming were able to turn around a lot fights in the game thanks to the mekanism on Enigma and some great coordination. Zakari “Zfreek” Freedman played an amazing Enigma with some fantastic, spot on black holes.

The Shanghai Major main event will take place between March 2nd-6th, at the Mercedes-Benz Arena, in Shanghai, China. Viewers and visitors are in for dawn to dusk action. The Grand Finals will take place on Sunday, March 6th.

Sixteen teams will play a double-elimination bracket.
Eight teams (top two teams of each of the four groups) will start the main event in the Upper Bracket. Eight teams (bottom two teams of each of the four groups) will start the main event in the Lower Bracket.
All the Upper Bracket match-ups will be best-of-three series.
The first two rounds of the Lower Bracket matches will be best-of-one elimination series. The following rounds will be best-of-three elimination series.
The Shanghai Dota Major Grand Finals will be best-of-five series, with no winners’ advantage.

(57 comments)well they didnt expect to come and win dota 2. they also said it in the very beginning that they are the worse team. You know its bad when you started tournament with no spirit to win, also they keyboard issue must really put them in low moralle situation and just wanna ho home.
