Team NP qualified for the Summit 6 to be held November 16-20th in sunny Los Angeles, California.
The new NA team formed by Jacky “Eternal Envy” Mao was one of three teams invited to participate in the NA qualifier featuring only four teams total.
Team NP swept through compLexity Gaming 2:0 in the first round and then overpowered FDL 2:1 to advance to the Grand Finals. In the lower brackets, compLexity cruised along destroying the opponents without dropping a single match – taking out EverNovaS and FDL 2:0 to rematch against Team NP. The Grand Finals were intense, requiring all five games to declare a winner – the last match going over one hour. When the dust had settled, Team NP were victorious.
Four teams have been directly invited to participate at the Summit 6 – Wings, Digital Chaos, Evil Geniuses and OG. Four other teams will qualify – one from each of the four regions – China, SEA, EU and NA.
SEA was the first of the regions to be conclude the qualifiers – with Daryl Koh “iceiceice” Pei Xiang’s Team Faceless taking the allocated spot.
Chinese and EU qualifiers are still underway.
As always all closed qualifier matches will be broadcast live by BTS.
