Team MAX secured a spot in the regional qualifiers after coming out on top in the Kiev Major Chinese Open Qualifiers. The team was only formed since January with relatively newer and younger players.
After surviving the best-of-one elimination brackets, the team moved on to dominate Rush B 2:0 and best EHOME.Keen – one of the favorites of the event. Team MAX managed to take a strong win to start the series off but struggled to find their footing in the second, allowing EHOME.Keen to then tie up the series. An Outworld Destroyer pick for mid lane worked well for the team as they then seized control once again and snatched the victory in 45 minutes.
Team MAX will go up against iG Vitality, CAVALRY, Vici Gaming Potential, Invictus Gaming, LGD Gaming CDEC Gaming, LGD.Forever Young, ViCi Gaming and Team ZS – winners of battle cup, in the Kiev Major Chinese Regional Qualifiers, scheduled to take place between March 11-12.
The Kiev Major will be held in Kiev, Ukraine, between April 27-30th, at National Palace of Arts, with a set $3,000,000 prize pool. Sixteen teams will compete at the main event hosted by PGL.
