Team Empire are currently bootcamping in Kiev, Ukraine, before hitting the MLG Pro League LAN finals in Austin, Texas, between June 5-7.
Unfortunately, Maxim “yoky” Kim was turned back at the Ukrainian border. Alexsander “NoFear” Churochkin stood in for the team during yesterday’s games.
To add to logistics hell we are in this week: @yokydota was returned home on the way to bootcamp by customs

Unfortunately @yokydota can`t play with us today. We should play with standin in all todays matches (

Yoky has come up against a similar situation in March, when he was denied his US visa twice and wasn’t able to make the trip to Columbus for the MLG LAN finals. Team Empire replaced him with Gleb “Funn1k” Lipatnikov and ended up taking the championship title.
Since then, Team Empire won the D2CL Season 5 LAN finals (after a clean 3:0 sweep over ViCi Gaming) and have received a well-deserved direct invite to The International 5.
At the beginning of June, Team Empire will fly to Austin, Texas, to compete in the MLG Pro League LAN finals, alongside Evil Geniuses, Team Malaysia, Mousesports, Alliance, Virtus.Pro, London Conspiracy, and Summer’s Rift.
Team Empire was the first team to be invited, as the MLG Pro League Champions.
