Team Faceless, Clutch Gamers, TnC Pro and Mineski are headed to the Kiev Major SEA regional qualifier playoffs.
A close run in the group stage Team Faceless went undefeated in the first day -almost a repeat of their Boston Major Qualifier results where they went 8:0 through the groups for the top seed.
Instead – Clutch Gamers seemed to come out of left field and appear to be holding all of the aces moving forward. The team rose above the rest to claim the top seed in the playoffs.
As a reward for their efforts, the Filipino team were allowed to choose their opponents moving forward. They went for their Filipino brothers – Mineski. Mineski took fourth place in the group stage with a 6:3 record.
During the group stage, Team Faceless, Clutch Gamers and TnC Pro all ended up with a 7:2 record for an incredibly close regional battle.
Prestige World Wide – the Champions Cup winners originally from NA didn’t make the cut with zero wins and have ended their hopes for an appearance at the Kiev Major.

Kiev Major Qualifiers format
The Kiev Major Qualifiers format is the same as it was for the Boston Major – which had been adjusted compared to previous Majors. This season, teams will be pitted against each other in a single group, instead of divided into two groups. Another significant change, teams will face each other in a best-of-one round robin. The top four teams in the group stage will advance to a best-of-three GSL-style playoffs bracket. Two teams from China and SEA, one team from NA, EU, SA and CIS will qualify for the Kiev Major. Thus, there will be two phases to the Kiev Major Qualifiers format: group stage and playoffs.
Kiev Major Qualifiers playoffs
- 1st place team chooses 3rd or 4th place team as an opponent
- 2nd place team competes against remaining team
- GSL bracket format
- Best-of-three series
- Two teams qualify for the Kiev Major
