Two well-known North American League of Legends teams – Imagine and Odyssey – have merged into a multi-gaming organization. The new assembly, Team Imagine, has signed Team Leviathan as its Dota 2 squad, and is looking to move into Hearthstone and Rocket League as well.
According to dailydot.com, the new Imagine organization will be managed by Turing Pharmaceuticals CEO and former Odyssey owner, Martin “Cerebral” Shkreli, as chairman, and Imagine founders Gerard “BM” Kelly and Michael “Devilian” Roschenwimmer, as chief executive officer and managing director respectively.
Imagine’s new Dota 2 squad, Team Leviathan, is a starter gaming organization consisting of a group of friends who decided to get serious about their careers and moved into a team house located in Florida.
Infamous for picking Pudge for their offlaner Andrew “Jenkins” Jenkins – a top level 7k+ pro player, well known for his Dota 2 MMR boosting guides – Leviathan have their own innovative style.
The squad was picked up by Flipside Tactics in June 2014. They left the organization in October 2014, when they decided to venture out into a full organization themselves.
Michael “FlyingZebra” Stanus-Ghib joined Team Leviathan in January 2015. After the team failed to qualify for The International 5, Eric “Shredder” Sheeder decided to take a leave of absence from the competitive scene, in order to focus on his studies. He was replaced by Francis “FranGay” Lee, on July 24th.
