Plays.TV now integrated with Dota 2

Plays.TV is a capture and sharing platform. Only days ago, the company integrated their replay recorder with Valve software to include Dota 2. The game client features automated highlights and a timeline displaying various key actions such as Roshan kills, barracks destroyed, kill streaks and more. Players can easily share, edit and post their prized moments with just a few clicks.

Plays.TV is already a leading platform used by at least 12 million gamers in the community. Now, their technology has been integrated with Valve – allowing for Dota 2 players of all skill levels to create highlights and share their accomplishments.

The game platform has already been in use for CS:GO and League of Legends.

Plays.TV will allow users to spend less time editing videos for highlights. The easy user interface includes bookmarked actions on a timeline to make sharing moments with the community becomes easy and quick.

The automated features include:

  • Every Kill, Killstreak, Multi-Kill, Deny, Assist, Death, Suicide, Tower Destroyed, Barracks Destroyed, Roshan Kill and Courier Kill bookmarked on your timeline

  • Match highlights are pre-selected and ready to share, with editing tools
  • Automatic tagging for in-game events, heroes, and your Steam name
  • Displays the hero played, win/loss, and score for each match

Plays.tv was released in March 2015 by Raptr – a social-networking website and instant messenger that targets video-game players used primarily for XBOX and Playstation.

Since then, it has become a leading video-sharing platform. Currently there are over 12 million monthly active users.

According to their release, videos from more than 2,800 different games have been posted by users from more than 200 countries worldwide. Plays.tv also boasts a high volume of content creators – over 35% of users contributing video content on a daily basis.

    Wow editing is going to be easy now. But the great editors (Holy hexor, NoobFromUA etc.) who mastered their editing skills through the years will have mix emotions about this. Easy editing means more competition for them. But then again what a great news for dota2.

      Don’t think it will be that bad for those editors, this just helps you filter out the highlights, editing has much more to it. I wouldn’t be worried if I was NoobFromUA

        Exactly, only a few are known as good editors and have a huge base of subscribers. That’s why I think they shouldn’t worry.

    Have been using it for some time, it’s a great app, and this is what it was missing-the ability to capture highlights only instead of whole games or sessions. Looking forward to this.

        It just works in the background and records pretty much everything you do. You don’t even have to start recording, it does it automatically when you enter the game. Pretty neat SeemsGood

        You have to have a compatible GPU if I am not mistaken, so check that first before downloading it
