Redemption Vote called off for Summit 4

This year, BTS will not be able to reinstate the Redemption Vote for the upcoming Summit 4 due to issues with third party compendiums in Reborn. The last spot will be announced shortly as the tournament is quickly approaching. The event will take place in Los Angeles, California, between December 9-13, with a base prize pool of $100,000. OG joined Evil Geniuses, EHOME, Digital Chaos, ViCi Gaming, Team Liquid and Mineski as the last team to qualify.

The Redemption Vote portion of the Summit 4 has been called off this year due to issues with within Reborn. The voting has been in effect for Summit 2 and Summit 3 and had quickly become a significant part of the BTS Summit traditions.

Beyond the Summit‘s goal was to create a “behind the scenes” oriented tournament, inspired by TakeTV’s Homestory Cup in StarCraft 2. The format was designed to give fans an inside peek into their favorite players’ personalities and experience an entirely different capacity, while still providing quality production and matches. The tournament takes place inside the BTS house, as a way to further enhance the intimacy and laid back environment.

As part of the strategy to offer a completely different event and to change the way teams are able to secure a spot, BTS introduced the Redemption Vote, an opportunity for the community to engage in the fun and a final chance for the teams to lay their hands on a LAN spot.
