The MDL Winter 2015 playoffs day 4 edges us closer to the end of the tournament. ViCi Gaming, Newbee and LGD Gaming were eliminated from the event. Evil Geniuses and OG are one step away from the grand finals to meet up with EHOME who advanced directly there from the Upper Bracket Finals. The three remaining teams will continue to compete for the $270,000 prize pool. Action resumes on Sunday, January 31st, at 06:00 CET with the lower bracket finals, followed by the Grand Finals.
MDL Winter 2015 playoffs day 4 was a long day of gaming for the six teams that were remaining. Giving it their all, each team put up some incredible plays and fights to keep their spirits and hopes of a championship title alive. Three Chinese teams were eliminated today, giving OG and Evil Geniuses a second chance to advance to the Grand Finals. EHOME has been able to take the high road and has become the first team to claim a position in the Grand Finals.
Tomorrow is the last day of MDL Winter 2015 playoffs. Evil Geniuses and OG will kick off the day in the Lower Bracket finals, fighting to advance to the Grand Finals. The winner will face EHOME in the best of five grand finals after.

MDL Winter 2015 Playoffs day 4 Lower Brackets Round 2
ViCi Gaming and Evil Geniuses met head on for an intense battle that would end one of these Giant’s run at MDL Winter 2015 playoffs. While the first match of the series gave ViCi Gaming the early advantage, Evil Geniuses were able to steal the lead and quickly took off to the victory once their heroes had enough farm and items. ViCi Gaming were note deterred and convincingly took the second match in the series with a perfect game by Xu “BurNIng” Zhilei and incredible game for Xu “fy”Linsen on NightStalker. The Chinese victory forced a deciding game three in which Evil Geniuses easily took.

LGD Gaming and Newbee entered into a brawl for survival as the two Chinese squads fought to keep their journey to the grand finals alive. In a heavily one sided game, featuring a perfect game by Lu “Maybe” Yao on Queen of Pain 10:0:10, they brought down Newbee in just over 30 minutes. Newbee didn’t give up hope and turned the second match in the series into a complete stomp over LGD Gaming, finishing in 26 minutes with a score of 21:5. Chen “Hao” Zhihao’s weaver and the power of Chen made them unstoppable and pushed a third game. The last and final game. The last game of the series was very one sided and LGD Gaming refused to give up on their path to the grand finals. Another perfect game by Maybe and the strength of Lone Druid gave LGD the victory and eliminated Newbee.

MDL Winter 2015 Playoffs day 4 Upper Brackets finals
OG and EHOME had a showdown in the upper brackets finals to claim the first spot in the grand finals. While OG seemed to have a handle on things in the early and mid game,Ren “ELeVeN”Yangweis’s Lone Druid was too much for the European team to keep at bay and EHOME took the first victory in 30 minutes. After 50 minutes of exciting Dota 2, OG were able to seize the second match victory and force a deciding third game. In a heavily one sided game, EHOME destroyed OG in 21 minutes 18:8 dropping the European team to the Lower Brackets. EHOME has advanced to the Grand Finals.

LGD and Evil Geniuses rounded out the day with their Lower Bracket elimination series. Evil Geniuses were able to stage a fantastic comeback after 45 minutes and being down by more than 10k gold. LGD Gaming had the lead and advantage for most of the game but were unable to close the deal and dropped the first victory. Determined not to be eliminated just yet, LGD Gaming grabbed the game out from under Evil Geniuses and tied up the series. In a matter of 23 minutes, EG were able to stomp out LGD Gaming, with the help of Syed Sumail “Suma1L” Hassan’s fantastic Templar Assassin.
