The MDL Winter 2015 playoffs day 3 results are in. compLexity Gaming and Team Secret were eliminated from the event. Evil Geniuses and Newbee survived another day in the Lower Brackets. LGD Gaming and ViCi Gaming dropped to the lower brackets while OG and EHOME are cruising along the high road to the finals. The six remaining teams will continue to compete for the $270,000 prize pool. Action resumes on Saturday, January 30th, at 03:00 CET.
MDL Winter 2015 playoffs day 3 have given fans some interesting results and some exciting match ups to look forward to. compLexity Gaming and Team Secret were first thing in the day. Team Secret’s departure was unexpected as they were considered to be the stronger team between them and Newbee. ViCi Gaming had been displaying top notch performances and were surprisingly taken down to the lower brackets by EHOME.
The upper bracket semi finals are set to place OG against EHOME, a series that is bound to produce some intense plays and competition. Evil Geniuses will face ViCi Gaming, with one of these two giants being eliminated.
Tomorrow three more teams will go home – Evil Geniuses, LGD, Gaming, ViCi Gaming and Newbee will give their all in what could be any of their last stands.

In a North American clash, Evil Geniuses swept through compLexity Gaming 2:0 in an overwhelmingly convincing fashion. The second game featured a fantastic performance by Syed Sumail “Suma1L” Hassan on Invoker and Artour “Arteezy” Babaev on Nature’s Prophet.

Team Secret and Newbee went toe to toe for the second elimination series of the day.
Newbee were able to take the first game from Team Secret. Despite a valiant effort by Jacky “Eternal Envy” Mao to defend base, refusing to die after Newbee threw every action against him, the effort went unrewarded and the team dropped the match. Thanks to an incredible performance by Aliwi “w33” Omar on Earth Spirit, Team Secret were able to take the win against Newbee and force a deciding match.
Newbee easily took the third game from the Europeans without much contest. This time the Chinese team made sure to counter w33’s earth spirit and played an incredible game to mitigate for Team Secret’s strategy.

MDL Winter 2015 Playoffs Upper Brackets
EHOME took the first victory over ViCi Gaming with an unbelievable performance by Ren “ELeVeN” Yangwei on Lone Druid. EHOME was able to secure the victory fairly easy in only 19 minutes. In an equally one sided second match, EHOME were able to crush ViCi Gaming in 17 minutes. Zhang “LaNm” Zhicheng had a perfect game on Chen, keeping his team safe and supported to clinch their position in the upper brackets.

OG took an easy win against LGD Gaming in only 26 minutes. Perfect game by Amer “Miracle-“ al-Barqawi on OD and strong dominating game by Johan “BigDaddy” Sundstein on Gyrocopter gave LGD Gaming no chance to comeback. The second game was much more intense with back and forth action and incredible plays coming out from both sides. A tight base race to end the game gave OG the victory as Miracle- was able to take down the ancient quickly.
