Lu “Maybe” Yao has left LGD Gaming earlier today, according to the Dota 2 Majors registration page. One week ago, Sun “Agressif” Zheng has also parted ways with the Chinese organization. LGD Gaming ended their International 6 run with a dismaying 9th-12th place, after being forced to play with a substitute, due to Xue “September” Zhichuan visa complications.
Teams have until September 4th to release players from their current rosters in preparation for the upcoming season. New players can then be added between September 4th-18th. The rosters will become locked on September 18th, at 12:00AM PDT.

Lu “Maybe” Yao has pulled out of LGD Gaming earlier today. Maybe has been a part of the Chinese organization twice: once in 2014, and then again between 2015-2016, for one year and five months.
Last week, Sun “Agressif” Zheng left the team as well. LGD Gaming have not made any official announcements as of yet, and the two players have not clarified their current status or future plans.

For the 2016 Fall Major, Valve has implemented a brand new two-step registration process, that includes a “drop phase” and an “add phase”.
Teams can release players from their current rosters until September 4th. This is an active process, unlike in previous seasons when the entire team was automatically dropped before the beginning of a new season. Therefore, players can leave a team or the team’s management can remove any players that will not be on the lineup for the upcoming season. Any players remaining on the roster after September 4th will be automatically locked into the team.
New players can then be added to the roster between September 4th-18th. The rosters will become locked on September 18th, at 12:00AM PDT. Players who left or were dropped from a roster in the first phase of the Dota 2 Majors registration process can be added back to the lineup during the second phase.

The once Chinese Dynasty ended their Shanghai Major run with a 9th-12th place finish. LGD was eliminated in the second round of the main event’s brutal best-of-one Lower Brackets by compLexity Gaming.
As a consequence, they altered their roster in preparation for the Manila Major and The International 6. LGD’s new lineup was announced in mid-March. On the heels of the public departure of Liu “Sylar” Jiajun and Fan “rOtk” Bai, Zhang “xiao8” Ning returned from being inactive. CDEC’s famed Sun “Agressif” Zheng and CDEC.Avenger player Xue “September” Zhichuan joined at the same time, as well.
In the new roster’s LAN debut at the StarLadder iLeague Dota Invitational, LGD showed some spectacular performances and seized the third place. They qualified for ESL One Frankfurt 2016 LAN after overpowering ViCi Gaming.Reborn, 3:1, but in the end didn’t attend the event, after a last minute cancellation.
After a fourth place rank at the Manila Major, they went on to take third at the Nanyang Dota 2 Championships Season 2 and first during the Dota2 Professional League Season 1.
The team was forced to compete in The International 6 with their substitute Wang “Banana” Jiao in lieu of Xue “September” Zhichuan, due to the latter’s visa complications. LGD Gaming took 9th-12th place at TI6, being eliminated early by Digital Gaming, 2:0, in the second round of the Lower Brackets.

(969 comments)Well things weren’t looking good for them this year. Its only natural for some of the players of LGD to look for greener pastures.
