EG vs. DC in the TI6 Main Event Lower Bracket Finals (best-of-three)
On the back of superb individual plays and flawless team coordination, Digital Chaos took down Fnatic, 2:0, to reach Top 3 and the Lower Brackets Finals. With barely any seats left at the KeyArena for the Upper Bracket Final series, yesterday, Evil Geniuses were unable to make use of their superior laning phases and early game advantage, and dropped both games to Wings Gaming. The two North-American teams will now face each other in the Lower Bracket Finals and fight for a spot in the Grand Finals.

DC wins!
EG got completely shut down by DC in the first game of the series. The defending champions had a superior aggressive trilane, but were unable to find the farm for Fear’s Luna and sumaiL’s QoP. They lacked vision and their Faceless Void was forced to set up almost blind Chronospheres, while playing from behind. UniVeRsE’s Faceless Void was 11-0 coming into this game. Digital Chaos are one win away from The International 6 Grand Finals.

Down 5k gold and 9-7 in kills at minute 27, Evil Geniuses notch 10 straight kills to take full control of the second game and even out the series, on the back of beautiful team coordination. Big plays coming out of Fear’s Sven. SumaiL and zai were also instrumental on Medusa and Elder Titan, respectively. w33’s Jakiro didn’t have enough support from the rest of the lineup and was unable to gain much traction in the game. This is the first time Omar “w33” Aliwi loses a game on Jakiro, in competitive Dota 2.
